Anthony Joshua Eyeing Four Fights in 2024

At 34 years old, Joshua has had his most active year since 2016, showcasing his skills in the ring with a decision victory against Jermaine Franklin in April and a knockout win over Robert Helenius in August. Wallin, known as a formidable and avoided opponent, is confident in his abilities to defeat Joshua, adding anticipation to their upcoming bout.

Despite the attention on future matchups, a win against Wallin would mark Joshua's most significant victory since his rematch triumph over Andy Ruiz Jr. in 2019.

Joshua values the benefits of staying busy and active in the boxing world. While a showdown with longtime rival Deontay Wilder is on the horizon for 2024, Joshua aims to make 2023 a year filled with meaningful fights, not just focused on one bout.

"I’m a fighter by nature. I look at myself in the mirror and all I see is a fighter. It’s just what I do. Whether I’m in camp or not, I’m always ready to fight," Joshua expressed to Matchroom Boxing.

Recognizing the pitfalls of inactivity, Joshua prioritizes staying ambitious and active in the ring. He believes that long training camps are not always necessary, emphasizing the importance of staying busy. With three fights planned for this year, Joshua is already looking ahead to 2024, where he aims to increase his activity with a potential goal of fighting four times in the year.
