Barboza vs Zorrilla

Barboza (26-0, 10 KOs), from South El Monte, California, is a nine-year-old pro taking part in a world title shot after a series of headline-grabbing victories. In April 2019, he knocked out former world champion Mike Alvarado in three rounds, a strong comeback from Los Angeles that strengthened him as a top contender. Barboza has won five matches since then, with unilateral decisions on Ricky Sismondo, William Silva, Tony Luis, Alex Saucedo, and Antonio Moran. He returned after an 11-month vacation, the second-longest of his career. No. 8 by the WBO and No. 11 by the WBC, Barboza hopes to win the long-awaited title against his invincible enemy.

Zorilla (16-0, 12 KOs) is a native of Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, who had more than 100 victories before becoming a pro in November 2016 with a second-round knockout. The 28-year-old, No. 10, has been diced by the WBO at 140 pounds, with 11 knockouts in three rounds or less, through his opposition in the pay lines. It won 2-0 in 2021, beating Ruslan Madiev in March and knocking out former interim world champion Pablo Cesar Cano in two rounds in September. A renaissance man with an associate's degree in banking and a barber at his home barber shop could overtake Zorilla Barboza and take the lead.

The action is not over yet as a major fight will open Torres television broadcasts in the six-round heavyweight special attraction vs. Roberto Zavala Junior.
