Bellator 282 fight card: Mousasi vs. Eblen, Preview, rumors, and full details

Updated: Jun 19, 2022

About a month later, Bellator returns to the Octagon to take action. Bellator 282 is set to host an action-packed event at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville on Friday, June 24, 2022.

Middleweight World Champion and No. 3-ranked pound-for-pound star Gegard Mousasi will try to defend his belt at Bellator 282 when he faces No. 1 ranked Johnny Abelin.

Considered one of the best fighters of all time, Mousasi will seek to make it his third consecutive successful title defense against the No. 1 contender.

After Mousasi won the stoppage against Austin Vanderford and John Setler in their last two promotional shows, Mousasi is not convinced that Abelin has brought anything new to the fight.

Abelin won the title shot last March with a three-round decision on Salter at Bellator 276. Mousasi will represent an important step in the American Top Team product competition. That said, Mousasi acknowledged that since his opponent was a relatively newcomer, he could bring in new fighting skills.

Gegard Mousasi entered the ring with a record of 48 wins, 7 losses and 2 draws, including 27 knockouts and 12 submissions.

Johnny Abelin, on the other hand, will make it to the ring with an impeccable record of 11 wins and 0 draws, including 5 knockouts and 1 submission.

Do you think Gegard Mousasi Bellator 282 can retain the title once again? Will the belt change its owner this time? Now you can watch exciting fight.tv events and competitions live on fight.tv.
