Former world WBA champ Alejandro "Terra" García still around the fight scene.

In Tijuana, México its real easy to find former two time superwelterweight WBA world champ Alejandro "Terra" García, either at the gym training kids or at boxing events.

García still gives back alot to the sport that gave him so much glory. Garcia started training kids then he started helping promotors with their matchmaking in his native Tijuana where he is a legend not only for being two time world champ, but for being that friendly guy always willing to help with a smile on his face. His positive attitude won people over and with his popularity he was even elected to be president of the Tijuana boxing comission.

His term as president in the Tijuana comission just ended last year then he was elected comissioner in Rosarito for their MMA. Garcia just loves fighting, loves to be around it, weather its boxing or mma he is always at the events with a smile on his face.

As a fighter he was more than good being a two time superwelterweight world WBA champ. Lets not forget he was also a NABO champion right before becoming world champion beating Santiago Samaniego for the WBA world championship in 2003. He lost the title to Travis Simms then won it again in 2005 outpointing Luca Messi by unanamous decisión.
