MMA veteran Green has fought for the UFC - he merged with Strike Force in 2013 and is close to 20 promotional shows. Green (29-12-1) will bring 14 days change after winning a unanimous decision against the right wing. The fan-friendly striker is set to win two fights after defeating Haqprast in UFC 268 in November and stopping Al Iaquinta. Other notable victories on his record include Clay Guida, Josh Thomson and James Krause.
Green has infamously struggled to break the top of the lightweight division in the UFC, but now he has the opportunity to take a short notice against Makhachev.
