The great Julio Cesar Chávez Sr stated in an interview that his downfall was after the Camacho fight. Chavez said that his life changed after the victory over the great Hector "Macho" Camacho and that he felt after that victory that he had accomplished everything there was to do in boxing. He felt unbeatable and thats when things fell apart , he wouldnt train anymore and with his popularity things got out of control with women , drugs and alcohol, he started to disrespect boxing, thats what he feels was his downfall.
