Jose Aldo Shuts Down Mcgregor Rematch

It seems as though fighters are sick of Mcgregor. Aldo who is just riding off a recent win over Pedro Munhoz is getting a lot of buzz. Fight fans are asking who is next and if Aldo will be interested in chasing the title again. Jose has made it clear he's here to fight, but he's also made it clear who he's not going to fight.

Back in 2015 Mcgregor was the one who de-throned Aldo. Jose was stripped of his title by Mcgregor and was denied any chance of a rematch before Mcgregor climbed weight classes to fight for a second title. So Jose Aldo has some very direct feelings about being asked for a rematch now that the tables are turned.

Jose said - “Back when it should have happened, like they are going rematches and trilogies, I didn't have the opportunity, no one considered anything, and each one went their way. Now that the situation has inverted again, it feels like they have the obligation to book it.

No, I don’t see myself fighting Conor. Never, I think. I can even say that. It might happen tomorrow, but that’s not the path. I root for him today, I hope he recovers from the injury and fights again at the highest level and becomes champion again, because that way he and I will always be together. No matter if I'm down and he's up or the other way around, people will always put out names together, and that way we carry each other up.”

Aldo is very humble in his reasonings for not wanting to pursue the fight. We would all love to see that rematch, I know I would for sure. What say you fight fans? Do you agree with Jose?
