Kevin Salgado New IBA World Champion

Yesterday in Mercedes Texas, Kevin Salgado surprised Roberto Garcia by knockout in the ninth round and was crowned IBA Super Welterweight World Champion.

Salgado, former Fecarbox champion, was not the favorite to win this fight, the favorite was Garcia because of his greater experience, including a Silver world title and a victory over Omar Chavez.

But Salgado gave the surprise and was crowned IBA Super Welterweight World Champion
