LFA 118 caabilities battle of placing , grappling environment champions

LFA 118 is taking place on Friday, November 12 at the Los Angeles-Burbank Marriott Convention Center in Burbank, California. LFA 118 will be the eleventh LFA event in Golden State. Promotion officials announced on November 8 that the winner of LFA 118 Brazil's Geo-Jitsu world champion Jacqueline Amorim (4-0) against world kickboxing champion Leuth Young (3-1-1) had been declared the winner with the title going out. "We are excited to bring the Women's Straightweight Championship at LFA 118 to Southern California," said Ed Source, LFA CEO. "Jaqueline Amorim is a BJJ World Champion, and Loveth Young is a Kickboxing World Champion. This title fight is significant because both women are winning back-to-back victories behind our LFA Octagon. Will become the fourth strawweight champion in history. Amorim's four professional competitions so far have ended in the preliminary round, including a 10-second knockout victory in July's LFA 110, as well as a 33-second submission victory in March's LFA 101. Meanwhile, Young recently fought in January, scoring the second round TKO against Kelly D'Angelo in LFA 97. Her only professional MMA loss came through the decision of current UFC women's flyweight and former LFA champion Vanessa Demopoulos. Since then, the "Nigerian Terminator" has revived under the LFA banner with back-to-back TKO wins. With the announcement, the LFA 118 lineup is currently included.
