Former UFC flyweight Muhammad Mokaev has miraculously avoided serious injury following a terrifying car accident in his home country of Dagestan. The 24-year-old fighter was involved in the crash on Thursday, which left his vehicle severely damaged but, fortunately, left him without major injuries.

Russian media reported that Mokaev's Mercedes-AMG A 35 lost control, veering off the road and ending up in a ditch. While the exact cause of the accident remains unclear, photos shared by Mokaev on social media show just how serious the collision was. The images reveal significant damage to multiple vehicles, including one car with its hood completely torn off. Despite the wreckage, Mokaev emerged relatively unscathed.

Taking to Twitter to reassure his fans, Mokaev wrote,

“Alhamdulillah, I’m well, out from the hospital. Thank you for the support! I have been tested at a high level at this stage of my career and I will be back stronger. InshaAllah!”

His message was accompanied by photos of his battered car, offering a glimpse of how close he came to a potentially life-threatening situation.

This close call comes just weeks after Mokaev's last fight in the UFC, where he secured a decision victory over Manel Kape at UFC 304. Despite the win, Mokaev’s contract with the UFC was not renewed, leading him to explore opportunities as a free agent. While Mokaev has hinted at a possible deal to continue his fighting career outside of the UFC, he has yet to confirm where he might land next.

For now, the focus for Mokaev will be on recovering from this unsettling incident. The images of the crash are a stark reminder of how quickly life can change, but Mokaev's resilience and positive outlook suggest he's more determined than ever to come back stronger.
