MMA is full of nasty knockouts, the nastiest though are arguably from head-kicks. We all know who the biggest kickers are - Mirko Cro Cop, Anderson Silva, Jose Aldo, Lyoto Machida, Bas Rutten, to name a few. What about the nastiest head kick knockouts? What were some of those. Looking back we found -
Rashad Evans head kick knockout over Sean Salmon. At UFC Fight Night 8, Rashad Evans caught Sean Salmon with a roundhouse kick to the head, ending him and proclaiming a victory via KO. We'll never forget this one.
Mirko Cro Cop is known for his head kicks and just kicks in general. Being kicked in the ribs by Mirko Cro Cop is enough to put most grown men down on the ground. When Cro Cop faced Gabriel Gonzaga, it was actually Mirko who get the receiving end of the head kick knockout at UFC 70.
UFC 129 will go down in the record books as one of the nastiest knockout nights EVER. Lyoto Machida faced off against Randy Couture, and knocked him out with a front kick to the face. Machida is known for his kicks and the last thing you want is one of those to the face.
GSP vs Matt Hughes 2 at UFC 50 was phenomenal. George caught Matt with a switch kick to the head and ended him pretty early on that night. Everyone was stunned as the first time they fought, Matt ended GSP's undefeated streak and took him to the ground. Seeing GSP win the title with a headkick KO really set the pace for the rest of his career.
