New Venture by Ex-Bellator Fighter in Southern Brazil

Thiago “Minu” Meller, a fighter hailing from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, has announced the launch of Soldiers Arena MMA, the latest addition to the MMA scene in the region.

With a background that includes a stint at Bellator MMA in 2014 and several fights in Russia, Meller aims to bolster the sport's presence in his home state and provide a platform for fighters to showcase their talents.


The inaugural edition of Soldiers Arena MMA is set to take place on May 4, 2024, in Igrejinha, Rio Grande do Sul. The event will feature a lineup of 10 professional MMA fights, showcasing both up-and-coming talents from the region and established names in the local MMA scene.


Among the fighters scheduled to compete are Gian Sarturi, with a record of 8-3 and previous experience in LFA, Wagner Noronha, with a record of 17-6 and a background in Jungle Fight, as well as undefeated fighters Saulo Reis (4-0), Cleiton Morais (5-0), and Rheron Costa (4-0).


Additionally, Soldiers Arena MMA will showcase athletes from the Sombra Team in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, including Wellignton Madeira and Marcos Andrey, who train alongside UFC fighter Vinicius Oliveira.
