The ONE Championship celebrates martial arts by showcasing athletes in MMA, kickboxing, Muay Thai and submission grappling. ONE 157 will present all these articles in one event. Meanwhile, One Flyweight Muay Thai will compete against the division's best fighters in six of the 16 World Thai Grand Prix quarterfinals.
The event is adorned with exciting ONE Super Series matchups from top to bottom. Quite frankly, this is a dream card for amazing fans. The match between Thai and French at the top of the slate on May 20 already promises fireworks.
Petchmorakot Petchyindee and Jimmy Vienot are heading to the ONE 157 ONE Championships for the Featherweight Muay Thai World Championships. The main competition will also be the Muay Thai title fight as the Strawweight Champion will compete against Joseph Lasiri.
There will also be two Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix events in the event, with Jacob Smith taking on Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Jonathan Heggerty taking on Walter Goncalves. Two more quarter-finals and two alternate matches for the Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix are scheduled on the lead card.
Tye Ruotolo and kade Ruotolo will face off against Garry Tonen and Shinya Aoki, respectively, who will compete for the Lightweight division. Marcus Almeida vs. Hugo Cunha completes the heavyweight competition card.
Meanwhile, there will be a battle of new faces in the match-up promotion between Kabutov and Puric.
Kabutov holds a 61-10 record and trains regularly at the Venom Training Camp in Pattaya, Thailand with Mehdi Zatout, an veteran, Samy Sana, and Alaverdi Ramzanov, a world champion in bantamweight kickboxing. Puric, meanwhile, is 38-11 in his career and trains at the famous Tiger Muay Thai Gym.
