Paddy Pimbett open to fighting Logan Paul

Paddy Pimblett admits he would welcome the chance of fighting Logan Paul in an MMA fight after the world-famous YouTuber indicated he wants to fight the Liverpudlian "loud mouth".

Logan, like his younger brother Jake, who lost to Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, has blurred the lines between social media celebrity and big-draw sportsman by boxing fellow YouTuber KSI in 2019 and Floyd Mayweather (in an exhibition battle) in 2021.

Logan, though, has previously called out Pimblett and is preparing to fight in the MMA ring. He said on the True Geordie podcast last year: "I'm taking out Paddy The Baddy, brother, I'm taking him out."

"It's mad," Pimblett said. "He called me a clout-chaser years ago. He's clout-chasing me all the time, mentioning my name.

"If he ever wants to fight in UFC, he's more than welcome. I'll be there waiting for him and we'll fight."

Any potential fight, though, won't happen until the end of the year at the earliest since Pimblett is scheduled to have keyhole surgery on his broken ankle on March 7. He suffered the injury in his most recent fight with Jared Gordon.

Pimblett defeated Gordon by unanimous decision in their lightweight encounter at UFC 282 in December, with many in the Las Vegas crowd booing as he won 29-28 on all three judges' scores.

Pimlett, who triumphed twice at UFC London last year in March and July, insists that he was rightfully declared the winner over Gordon.
