PFL 6 Results & Highlights: Harrison vs Young Results

The end result: Harrison Def. Young by TKO (punches)

The PFL 6 Season 2022 airs live on Friday, July 1, from the Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, and takes place on Saturday, July 2 in Australia. The fight card included a series of competitions in women's lightweight and welterweight classes.

In the main event 2021, PFL Women's Lightweight Champion Kayla Harrison will face Kaitlin Young. Two-time Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison has been the center of attention in the PFL.

The two-time PFL champion is close to a third after taking over the business at the 2022 PFL 6 main event at Atlanta's Overtime Elite Arena. Kaitlin Young, a short-notice substitute, stood in Harrison's way on Friday evening, but failed to put up much resistance.

First round: Harrison wants to attack soon. The powerful double-leg puts it at the top of the side control within a minute. When Young tries to work his way up, the landing punches. Half guard within two minutes. Dropping the right hand inside with a hook. Fullback Mount and she just keeps punching until the referee comes in.

The end result: Harrison Def. Young by TKO (punches)

Harrison won her first fight of the season, earning three points in a unanimous decision against Marina Mokhnatkina in the 2022 PFL 3 in Arlington, Texas. By the way, we have already said that Harrison was originally supposed to compete with former champion Julia Bud, but he was replaced by Young after recovering from an injury a few weeks before the fight.

With six points in her first round on Friday, Harrison advanced to the playoffs in the second seed behind Larissa Pacheco, who also scored six points in the event.

The women's lightweight playoffs, which take place in London in August, now set in the first round with Pacheco vs. Olena Kolesnyk, and Harrison vs. Martina Jindrova.
