Priscila Cachoeira vs. Sijara Eubanks off of UFC Vegas 67 due to Eubanks's weight management issues

Sijara Eubanks has lost another fight even before entering the octagon. She was unable to match the limits on the scale.

Tomorrow night's UFC Fight Night: Strickland vs. Imavov event is scheduled to start, but spectators have received another last unfortunate news: Sijara Eubanks' contest with Priscila Cachoeira has been canceled.

Throughout the run to the event, a few contests scheduled to start tomorrow night have been canceled, and prominent athletes won't be participating on Saturday. Tragically for her rival, it might be too difficult for the South American to find a substitute. Sijara Eubanks didn't show up as contestants were making their way toward the scale to weigh in for their upcoming bouts, and her fight with Priscila Cachoeira was subsequently called off.

Eubanks has encountered issues with the scale before. The Ultimate Fighter 26's championship match, in which Eubanks was scheduled to make her UFC debut in 2017, was to name the organization's first women's flyweight champion. Roxanne Modafferi took Eubanks' place after she was removed due to kidney failure she experienced while trying to achieve weight.

Eubanks has failed scale for fights versus Melissa Gatto as well as Modafferi since entering the UFC roster; the latter was Eubanks' latest contest in December 2021. Eubanks was KO'd in the third round by Gatto.

The American women's flyweight athlete, even though no decision has been confirmed officially, appears to be in significant difficulty with the company and could risk having her name removed from the roster considering her past struggles with weight management.

The Brazilian will probably be dropped from the card and will need to be rescheduled for a bout soon. Cachoeira had won her previous two matches against challenging rivals Ji Yeon Kim and Ariane Lipski, and she was prepared to make it three wins in a row with a dominant show on Saturday night.
