Stevenson VS Herring - Oct 23rd

Get ready to be a boxing fan. The WBO has announced an important and thrilling match for its fans, where two friends will become mortal enemies of each other. Shakur Stevenson wants to set up Jamel Herring 'I don't have a friend' at State Farm Arena, Atlanta, Georgia.

The competition is significant because Herring is the WBO Junior Lightweight World Champion and Stevenson owns the WBO Interim 130 Pound title.

Ring No. 2 ranked, Herring (23-2, 11 knockouts) and Ring No. 7 ranked Stevenson (16-0, 8 KOs) seem to have a relationship that is years old. The two used to train together but in October this relationship will turn into violence.

After the victory at the Virgin Hotel Las Vegas Theater, Stevenson said, "If I had a choice, I would win the Oscar Valdez, but if I beat Jamel, I would do the same. Jamel can't beat me. Jamel knows what it is."

Herring, who took part in the fight, returned fire: "I know everyone wants the next fight, but I'm not coming with heavy feet like Frank Stein."

Undefeated 24-year-old Stevenson (16-0, 8 KOs) clashed with former junior welterweight world champion Regis Progress on Wednesday in preparation for the herring tilt.

The importance of this battle must be realized. It will be the most unique battle of its kind where two friends will face each other as enemies. The question is, will Stevenson remain undefeated this time around? Or will Herring deafeat Stevenson for the first time?
