Teen Sensation Alice Pereira to Make UFC History with Debut at Noche UFC 3 Against Monsterrat Rendon

The UFC is set to witness a historic moment on September 13 when Alice Pereira, an undefeated Brazilian prodigy, steps into the Octagon at Noche UFC 3, becoming the youngest female fighter ever to compete in the promotion. The highly anticipated event will take place at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, and will feature Pereira’s debut against Monsterrat Rendon in what promises to be a high-stakes bantamweight bout.

At just 19 years old, Pereira has already made waves on the regional scene with her aggressive style, technical prowess, and finishing ability. Known by the nickname "Golden Girl," she has stopped the majority of her opponents and recently proved her championship mettle by capturing the Cage Masters FC bantamweight title in December. That victory came via decision against seasoned veteran Samara Santos, who had 21 professional fights under her belt. It was a statement performance that cemented Pereira’s readiness for the sport’s biggest stage.

Only days after that career-defining win, Pereira received the call every young fighter dreams of. UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard personally informed her via FaceTime that she had earned a direct signing to the UFC roster—bypassing developmental programs like the Contender Series. The rapid progression speaks volumes about the faith UFC executives have in Pereira’s talent and marketability.

Her opponent, Monsterrat "Monster" Rendon, will be entering the Octagon for the third time. Rendon initially impressed with a debut victory over Tamires Vidal, but she suffered a setback in her sophomore outing, dropping a unanimous decision to Darya Zheleznyakova at UFC Vegas 89 earlier this year. After a significant layoff—her longest in over 18 months—Rendon now returns with hopes of derailing the hype behind the young phenom.

The matchup poses a compelling clash of styles and career trajectories. Pereira is the surging prospect with massive momentum and a perfect record, while Rendon represents the more seasoned professional with UFC experience and the motivation to get back in the win column. Despite her youth, Pereira has shown discipline and composure beyond her years, attributes that will be crucial against a durable and gritty opponent like Rendon.

While Rendon will bring pressure and veteran savvy, Pereira’s youth, speed, and sharp technique could give her the edge. The fight has all the makings of a breakout performance for either athlete, depending on who rises to the occasion under the lights of San Antonio.

The event is part of the UFC’s annual Noche UFC celebration, a card that traditionally honors Mexican Independence Day and often showcases rising stars and culturally significant matchups. Noche UFC 3 is headlined by an exciting featherweight clash between recent title challenger Diego Lopes and surging contender Jean Silva, but all eyes will be on the history-making debut of Alice Pereira.

As she steps into the Octagon for the first time, Pereira will not only be chasing victory—she’ll also be setting a new benchmark for youth achievement in MMA’s premier organization.

“Golden Girl” captured the Cage Masters FC bantamweight title with a decision victory over 21-fight veteran Samara Santos in December. Less than two weeks after that victory, UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard delivered good news via FaceTime that she was an outright signing to the promotion.
