The boxing world mourns the loss of Ardi Ndembo, who tragically passed away at the young age of 27, just three weeks after a devastating knockout fight left him in a coma in Miami.

Ndembo, a promising boxer with a flawless 8-0 start to his career, faced Nestor Santana in a Team Combat League fight on April 5. However, the match took a tragic turn when Ndembo was knocked out and remained unconscious in the ring for several minutes.

Despite efforts to save him, Ndembo succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, prompting an outpouring of condolences from the boxing community. Mauricio Sulaiman, president of the World Boxing Council, paid tribute to the Congolese fighter, expressing his condolences to Ndembo's family.

"May he rest in peace," Sulaiman wrote, reflecting on Ndembo's untimely passing.

In the wake of Ndembo's death, support has poured in for his grieving family. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to assist Ndembo's children during this difficult time, raising over $12,000 thus far. The fundraiser emphasizes the importance of sending strength, prayers, and financial aid to the Ndembo family as they cope with their loss.

Additionally, Team Combat League has pledged to match donations up to $25,000, underscoring the solidarity and compassion within the boxing community during times of tragedy.

As the boxing world grapples with the loss of one of its own, Ndembo's legacy serves as a reminder of the inherent risks and sacrifices involved in the sport. His memory will live on as a testament to his talent, determination, and the profound impact he made on those who knew him.
