UFC 275 Clash: Jedrzejczyk Vs. Weili 2, Winner Next for Champ Esparza

UFC 275 is being presented at the Singapore Indoor Arena in Kalang, Singapore on Saturday, June 11, 2022. There are several high-profile competitions on the UFC 275 fight card, including a big and important match between Zhang Weili and Joanna Jedrzejczyk 2.

It will not be just a contest but both fighters will step into the octagon to seek revenge or repeat history and get the title shot.

In fact, Weili (21-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC) vs. Jedrzejczyk (16-4 MMA, 10-4 UFC) is a rematch of the two-time all-time classic match of the two fighters at UFC 248 in March 2020. And further, in five rounds of war, Weili was declared the winner by division. Since then, Jedrzejczyk has not competed again.

It will be a great fight between two former UFC champions. So since that first meeting, Jedrzejczyk (16-4) has not competed, while Zhang (21-3) has lost back-to-back fights against another strawweight champion, Rose Namajonas. But when they meet again in Singapore this weekend, it will be in the de facto title eliminator.

The UFC president revealed on Tuesday that the winner of the rematch between former 115-pound champions Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Zhang Weili is set to be the next challenger for two-time UFC Strawberry queen Carla Esparza.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk Vs. Zhang Weili

Joanna Jedrzejczyk (16-4 MMA, 10-4 UFC)

Strawweight's first great champion is a volume striker. One of the most active Thai kickboxers in the history of the sport, Jedrzejczyk is one of the best defensive wrestlers in the history of the sport.

But it will not be easy for Jedrzejczyk to defeat Zhang Weili. Jedrzejczyk really needs to focus on kicking his kicks hard. Whenever the two trade punches, Jedrzejczyk should try hard to end their fusion. Wiley's shots from Hard Body and Low Kicks will take a bit of a beating, and he managed to chin his shin in his first fight.

Because Wiley likes to stand on his ground and fire back, hiding the same side kicks behind the nests would really be a great way to disrupt his expected counters. Right kicking right behind the cross is rarely a bad idea, and it can be a great way to get back on the high kick.

Zhang Weili (21-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC)

Whale is a remarkable physical skill. It is a deadly combination of strength and speed, which really amazes its opponents with its heavy hands and the ability to lift in the clutch. He is also a very clever technical kickboxer who specializes in underrated submissions.

In comparison, Jedrzejczyk is a better kicker, so it makes sense to keep it on the hind legs. If Weili puts pressure on Jedrzejczyk, she makes the kick setup more difficult, meaning Weili will have more opportunities to catch Jedrzejczyk clean when she is on one foot.

Jedrzejczyk is literally the worst match ever for Esparza. We saw a brutal result in 2015, and if the two were to match again, there is no real reason to predict a different final outcome. Suddenly, Jedrzejczyk is not far from becoming Joanna's "champion" again, but she must first clear this big hurdle ahead of her. It's not uncommon for Weili to get along so well with Esparza, but she will definitely be liked on "Cookie Monster" as well.

At UFC 275, Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Zhang Weili once again. Which woman do you think will win?
