UFC 280 Fight Card update: UFC forwards Marina Rodriguez vs Amanda Lemos Added to UFC 280 Lineup

UFC 280 is scheduled for October 22 in Abu Dhabi. UFC 280's fight schedule has been prepared for the most exciting and big fights, which big stars are being booked day by day. Two of the world's top women's strawweight fighters have also been added to the UFC 280 card.


Brazilian stars Marina Rodríguez (16-1-2) and Amanda Lemos (12-2-1) will show strength and professionalism at UFC 280. The information was published firsthand by 'Combate.com' and later ESPN's UFC broadcast partner confirmed the booking shortly after its announcement on Thursday.

Rodriguez, the 35-year-old and third-ranked overall, (16-1-2 6-1-2 UFC) is riding her four-fight winning streak in pursuit of a long-sought championship shot. With a split decision win over Yan Xiaonan at UFC 272. Brazilian fighter Rodriguez's only loss in 2020 was a close split decision loss to current UFC women's strawweight champion Carla Esparza.


Lemos (12-2-1), also 35, has won six of her past seven fights, including a second-round submission victory over Michelle Watterson last weekend at UFC Long Islan included. The Brazilian fighter's only loss since 2017 came in Andrade in April. Lemos has completed four of her six wins inside the UFC Octagon.

UFC 280 will go down on October 22 at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. So far, the UFC 280 card is shaping up to be one of the most star-studded of the 2022 season. In the main attraction of the night, Charles 'Do Bronx' takes on Islam Makhachev in a duel suited for the vacant lightweight title (70kg), while Aljamain Sterling makes his bantamweight debut against former champion TJ Dillashaw. Defended weight belt (61kg). with three other major matchups on the billing thus far: Beneil Dariush vs. Mateusz Gamrot at lightweight, Belal Muhammad vs. Sean Brady in the welterweight division, and former champ Petr Yan taking on Sean O'Malley at 135 pounds.
