UFC Fight Night 201 results: Jamahal Hill sleeps Johnny Walker with first-round KO

UFC Vegas 48 took place on Saturday 19th February inside UFC Apex. The main competition was a light heavyweight bout between strikers Johnny Walker and Jamahal Hill. Rafael dos Anjos vs. Rafael Fiziev was the main event but Fiziev was transferred to UFC 272 due to visa issues. There is also a special 195 pound catch weight Kyle Docks against Jamie Packet. Jim Miller was also competing in his 39th UFC match against newcomer Nicholas Mota.

Having the opportunity to step into the slot of an important event on short notice, Jamahal Hill spent most of his time in the spotlight. Johnny Walker was brutally knocked out in the first round by "Sweet Dreams" at the UFC Fight Night from Las Vegas. Against a dangerous opponent, Hill showed no fear of fighting on his front foot before landing a fight and overhand in less than three minutes in a light heavyweight collision.

Round 1 - Both men were performing well in the opening minutes. Walker quickly kicked his body, then went upstairs. Within a minute, he attempted a sinful attack, but Hill saw him approaching and confronted him with his right hand. Hull turned to the right and pulled Hull into a high right kick. After shaking his legs, Walker lifted Hull up and pushed him toward the fence. The impact of Walker's kicks caused severe swelling in Hill's right arm.

The swelling had no effect on Hull's strength, as the punch that ended the fight came from the right. As a result, it fell like a tree. And ! Jamahal Hill Deaf. Johnny Walker via KO (Punch) Round 1 2:55

"I feel great," Hill said. "I just wanted to get out of here and show myself again and show what I can do. It's time to start a different kind of conversation, because you're all asking the wrong questions about me. "Where is he going?" How good am I really? Stop doubting. Start believing, because it's real.

This is Hill's second consecutive victory since he suffered a sprained elbow before being stopped on strike in June 2021 against Paul Craig. He is now 4-1 in the UFC since winning a contract on Dana White's Contender Series.

In the co-host event, Kyle Doukaus damaged Jamie Pickett's early combative defense in his catch-weight bout with a cross that he tapped in the last second of Round One. After the submission win, Daukaus said, "It's great to be back here and enjoy the victory.

Also on the main card, Joaquin Buckley got a different decision against Abdul Razzaq Al-Hassan in the middleweight bout, while Parker Porter scored points on the judges scorecard against Alan Boudot in the heavyweight bout. In the main card opener, lightweight legend Jim Miller made this difficult UFC debut with signature Lang Kicks and second round TKO for Dana White's Contender Series prospect Nikolas Motta.
