UFC now preparing for McGregor vs Poirier 4

The fourth controversy between Poirier and McGregor is currently being debated. May be on the cards after their blockbuster Las Vegas clash last summer.

McGregor, who is recovering from leg surgery, will return to the UFC this year.

On the other hand, when Dustin Poirier was asked, he said that he is still not sure when he will return to UFC Octagon.

Poirier was asked if the UFC was waiting for McGregor's return to bring them together.

He replied: "Perhaps so."

On his return, Poirier, 33, called for a fight with 36-year-old Nate Diaz but revealed that talks with the UFC had cooled.

He tweeted: "I don't know what's going on. I haven't heard from anyone in the last two months."

UFC President Dana White recently said: "We met last week.

"I don't know where we got on with it [because] I just popped in and said hello. But I don't know [what happened after that]. We'll find out."

McGregor, 33, recently returned to fight welterweight champion Kumaro Usman, 34.

And after appearing in court for speeding, he confirmed his plans to gain weight.

McGregor said: "Straight back to training.

"I'm looking forward to coming back to Octagon - we'll see what happens.

"The leg is getting better every day. I think 170 is where my goal is. I feel good about that weight."

The American was first defeated by McGregor in a round of his featherweight bout in 2014.

But he knocked out the Irishman in the January 2021 rematch, who competed in the trilogy last July.

It ended in another catastrophe for McGregor, who suffered a broken tibia before the end of the first round and lost to the doctor.

It remains to be seen what the outcome will be if this is the fourth meeting. Do you think McGregor can avenge his broken leg?
