The Ultimate Fighting Championship's first network televised event of the year, UFC on ABC 3, has successfully completed its final stretch and is ready for action. The event takes place on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the UBS Arena in Elmont, NY.
As we all know that a day before the event all the fighters have to go through the final weigh-in process. The official weigh-ins took place on Friday, July 15th at the UBS Arena at 4:00 pm ET, you can watch videos on FIGHT TV Facebook page. The UFC on ABC 3 card now has 12 fights official with all 24 fighters successfully making weight.
UFC on ABC 3 is headlined by a featherweight bout. No. 2-ranked contender and former title challenger Brian Ortega takes on No. 3-ranked Yair Rodriguez in the main event of the fight card, which should be a very strong and thrilling matchup as the winner could potentially take a shot at the title. And will be in a position to run.
The co-main event pits former champion and top-ranked UFC strawweight Michelle Waterson against former Jungle Fights champion Amanda Lemos.
Waterson, one of the most popular fighters in the division and a former Invicta FC atomweight champion, is trying to rebuild after a rough patch that has seen her go 1-3 in her last four fights.
Looking to make a big name for herself off the veteran is Lemos, who had her five-fight winning streak snapped by former champion Jessica Andrade in her last outing.
