UFC on ESPN 33 live results, highlights and vidoes: Curtis Blaydes vs. Chris Daukaus

UFC on ESPN 33 was held at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. In the main event, Curtis Blaydes (15-3 MMA, 10-3 UFC) competed against Chris Doukaus (12-4 MMA, 4-1 UFC) in heavyweight.


Curtis Blaydes and Chris Doukaus are competing in a five-round headline contest. The Blaydes are refreshed under a new UFC contract as they strive for their second consecutive win since eliminating Shamil Abdurakhimov in UFC 266 in September. Daukaus is looking to recover from his first UFC loss to Derrick Lewis in December.


Curtis Blaydes stopped wrestling at odds. Instead, he used his stand-up game to oust Chris Daukaus, then called for a title shot - or a fight with a former champion.


After the first round, the Blaydes (16-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) needed only 17 seconds in the second round to remove Daukaus (12-5 MMA, 4-2 UFC) after a large stretch of the right hand. To be kept Follow-up strikes on canvas at the UFC at the ESPN 33 main event at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Second, the Blaydes did not take long to complete their work. Just as Daukaus was throwing his right hand, the Blaydes drilled him with one of their huge rights. Daukaus immediately hit the canvas, and the Blaydes were on top to end the fight with punches and small elbows.



After the stunning victory, Blaydes said he would like a title shot. But when former heavyweight champion Stip Miocic was told he was in the crowd, he said he might have to go through it to get it - and would welcome the opportunity.
