UFC RETURNS TO LONDON FOR UFC FIGHT NIGHT, How many fights have been booked so far?

Writer: M AhmadM Ahmad

London is back in action. The UFC is finally ready to return to the UK. UFC events are about to resume after almost 2 years. UFC Fight Night 204 takes place on March 19, 2022 at The O2 Arena in London, England. This will be the first promotion event in the English capital since March 2019.

The last UFC tour of London was in March 2019. In UFC Fight Night 147, Jorge Masvidal began his "doomsday" with a brutal knockout victory over Darren Till in a major bout.

Iceland's Gunner Nelson competed against Birmingham's Leon Edwards in the co-host event. Edwards came up with a unanimous decision. The fight card also included likes of Dominic Reyes, Nathaniel Wood, Molly McCann, Mike Grundy and Dan lge.

The UFC will finally make its long-awaited return to the UK in 2020 and 2021 following the COVID-19 ban, but what will be the competition on the Fight Card?

While fight cards are always subject to change, the race for the UFC London 2022 competition looks pretty much the same as it is now.

UFC Fight Night 204 is set to headline the heavyweight fight between Alexander Volkov and Tom Aspinall. Aspinall is one of the most promising English prospects on the UFC roster and has been unbeaten since joining the promotion.

Volkov, the former Bellator heavyweight champion, will be Britain's toughest test ever.

Unbeatable chances in the event were to have a bantamweight bout between Jack Shore and Umar Nurmagomedov. Unfortunately, for some unknown reason, Nurmagomedov withdrew from the race and was replaced by Timur Valiev.

Paddy Pimblett is also set to be featured on the main card. The Beddy will face Rodrigo Vargas in his second UFC match. Unbeaten English flyweights Jack Hadley and Mohammed Mokaev are also set to make their UFC debuts tonight.

Dan Hooker vs. Arnold Allen is the latest addition to the lineup. 'The Hangman' will fall on the featherweight and will be greeted by 'Allah Almighty' which promises to be an explosive contest.

Leon Edwards was scheduled to compete against Tyrone Woodley at the O2 Arena in March 2020. Unfortunately, due to an increase in COVID-19 epidemics, the event was canceled.
