UFC Vegas 58: Nina Nunes or Cynthia Calvillo, Date, Review, Odd and Predication

Seeing the history of their first fight in the smoke, elite lightweight contenders Rafael Dos Anjos and Rafael Fiziev are ready to return to action at UFC Vegas 58. Which is set to take place this week (July 9, 2022) at Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Also in the co-man event, there is an excellent possible clash between Caio Borralho and Armen Petrosyan, and Michael Johnson is trying to continue on his way back at the expense of Jamie Mullerky.

The most important fight of the Prelims card sees Nina Nunes, a former women's weightlifter, begin her journey on a strong note in the flyweight, while Cynthia Kelvillo tries to break the disappointing slide.

Cynthia Calvillo vs. Nina Nunes

Cynthia Calvillo (9-4-1) soon established herself as a contender to see herself with a 6-1-1 UFC start, with the only loss to Strawweight queenpin, Carla Esparza. Since then, she has struggled with three consecutive losses, the last two courtesy of Jessica Andrade and Andrea Lee.

She knocked out three professional opponents and introduced two others.

Nina Nunes (10-7) won four consecutive UFC starts, including a big upset over former title challenger Claudia Gadelha. Tatiana Suarez soon stopped her pace with a competitive decision, after which "The Strina" Mackenzie returned from a long vacation to suffer the loss of the submitter.

She is fighting for the first time in about 15 months and only for the second time in the last three years.

Many people see Cynthia Calvillo as a wrestler, coming up with all her finishes. However, in his last few fights, Calvary was in no hurry to bring the fight to the ground, using a more kick-heavy style.

Both of these fighters have seen their ups and downs in the fight, and now they need to win more than ever. Nunes seemed to be struggling with retirement after his last loss and a long vacation. Calvillo's, on the other hand, has seen better days.

If Cynthia Calvillo wants to fix the plane, the loss here is bad news, as she will likely be out of the rankings, and at worst cut off from the promotion.

This battle marks an interesting turning point for both fighters

What is your prediction for Cynthia Calvillo vs. Nina Nunes?

Cynthia Calvillo vs. Nina Nunes odd and Prediction

ODDS: Calvillo (-150), Nunes (+130)

We have no idea which version of Nunes appears, but I would say that Calvillo's last fight has raised much more red flags than Nunes. In short, "The Strina's" footwork, speed and combination are expected to be amazing to win the day.

Prediction: Nuns by unanimous decision
