Unified world champion Oleksandr Usyk wants to uplift his countrymens spirits this saturday night when he takes on Anthony Joshua in their much anticipated rematch. Oleksandr Usyk said in an interview that it was hard to take the fight but he was incouraged by his countrymen who motivated him and told him that by fighting he helps the cause more than by staying and maybe getting killed in the war thats been going on in the Ukrain. He said also that there are days that its hard to not think of the horrors of war and thinks of all those wounded countrymen in the Ukrainian hospitals, but he feels really motivated to give his best and uplift his countrymen spirits with a great fight and ofcourse a great victory. Not many heavyweight world champs come off a war to defend their titles. We wish both heavyweight greats the best this weekend.
