The Cuban based in Germany, Uwel Hernández gets closer to an absolute world title opportunity, after defeating Juan Rodolfo Juárez by knockout in the second round to be crowned WBA GOLD super middleweight champion, in an event held in Panama.

Uwel Hernández is the third WBA GOLD super middleweight champion in history, the previous 2 were the Russian Fedor Chudinov and the American Lennox Allen.
