Watch: Former UFC title challenger Marlon Moraes suffers TKO in PFL DEBUT

Former UFC Bantamweight championship candidate Marlon Moraes suffered yet another defeat, this time at the hands of Brendan Loughnane in the PFL 1 event on Saturday night. The event took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, at The Theater at Virgin Hotels.

Loughnane, the defending PFL featherweight champion, showed his class with a leg attack strategy. Moraes struggled to defend against the repeated calf kicks, thus the tactic paid off.

After some early success, Moraes was knocked down twice near the conclusion of the first round and was saved by the bell. Moraes was allowed to continue by the cage-side medic, but it was a pointless decision.

In the second round, the Brazilian fighter came out swinging, knowing he needed to finish the battle swiftly. The injury to his legs, however, was too much for him to endure as Loughnane continued to attack with kicks. 'Magic' was eventually unable to continue, and the fight was declared a technical knockout in favor of Loughnane.

This is Moraes' sixth straight defeat, and he is fighting to recapture his form following a string of setbacks. Loughnane, on the other hand, has won five straight fights, including two by technical knockout.
