  • Dan Hooker Plans To End Makhachev

Rafael Dos Anjos had to cancel his bout with Makhachev in which Hooker has so graciously filled in for fight fans. While the image above (pulled from Hookers Instagram account) says the 31st. The Fight is actually on the 30th. One week from today! Hooker has had some words to share about his thoughts on their upcoming bout - “I'm not convinced. If they’re just doing this to kinda construct some mentality in him that he's indestructible. I'm not buying it. I don't buy it. He puts his pants on like I put my pants on in the morning. He ain't Superman, I'm very confident." Hooker hasn't lost a fight since January and is coming off a recent win. He doesn't plan to lose again anytime soon. “That’s the only way he’s gonna beat me is by decision. I feel like he’s gonna try and hold me down for two rounds. That would be their plan coming into the fight. He’s not a big ground-and-pound guy. He’s not, like, a real slick submission specialist. He’s more like pressuring guys and tiring them out and forcing them to give up a submission. As opposed to being like a Charles Oliveira, like a real slick submission specialist that throws up all these different submission attempts and catches guys." So it looks like Hooker is going to try and win the fight by keeping it on their toes and maintaining dominant ground positioning with superior wrestling. Makhachev may not be Superman but he comes from arguably the best MMA camp on the planet right now. Fight.TV is here for it! One week away and as soon as the action start we'll be here to bring you the results. Who do you think is going to win this bout? We want to know, comment your fighter of choice!

She believes her doctors have a diagnosis and will update her fans soon. Thursday night is when the fever started. So I followed protocol for when I am exposed to a food allergy. Thursday was rough but woke up on Friday feeling OK but brain fog, which is usually a symptom after I have an allergy attack or exposure to foods I’m allergic to. Friday was a normal day and I was ready for this weekend’s event (a jiujitsu competition) but felt like adrenaline was keeping me on my feet. However, Friday night the fever returned. At this point, I had a negative COVID [test] so I brushed it off. I was like f*ck fish eggs. Saturday morning, I had my morning shake out and felt normal, so to speak. Took another allergy pill just in case, took a nap, got up and went to the competition. I felt great warming up but definitely shaky and off but me being me, I brushed it off. Then Saturday night, the worst I have ever felt in my life. Body aches, fever, sweat more than I ever did even in a weight cut. That’s when I feel like I couldn’t ignore it anymore. Sunday I was admitted into the hospital with severe pain so bad, I could barely stand or not cry. They are still running tests and it looks like we have a clear diagnosis that I will share soon but I will be spending a few days in the hospital. My team and I have decided to pop in this fight and focus on my health. There has been struggling for a year and it’s my top priority. I already lost my gallbladder. I don’t plan to lose anymore. Please send me all the good vibes, I hope to update you guys soon as I am out of the hospital and fully back to Jess mode.” Fight.TV is sending you all the good vibes Jess! We hope that you heal fast and can get this behind you before the holidays start!

  • Ngannou, The UFC, and Fighter Pay

Francis Ngannou has been blasting the UFC on media lately about his involvement in the promotion and his upcoming fight with Ciryl Gane. It turns out Ngannou isn't too happy with his current contract as he's had to borrow money to live through 2 fights in the past 2 years. Ngannou is also concerned about his current funds to train for his upcoming bout with Gane. As this will likely be the most challenging bout of his career so far. Francis says the main issue at hand is he won't sign a new contract with the same terms that have him currently financially stressed. He's got one fight left on the old contract and will need a the new contract to have better conditions before he agrees to more fights with the UFC. It would be very damaging to the UFC's reputation if their champion heavyweight resigns and goes to another promotion like Bellator or BKFC. Dana White has admitted that the company has underappreciated Ngannou and there looks to be a redemption here. Fight.TV wants to know, do you think Francis Ngannou should stay with the UFC?

  • UFC Fight Night 195 ( UFC 40) results: Andrei Arlovski edges Carlos Felipe, extends heavyweight wins

The UFC Vegas 40 event features a heavyweight division. He reunited with newcomer Carlos Felipe from Brazil on Saturday. But Erlovsky has proven in the past that he still has some things to teach the younger generation. Arolovsky (31-20 MMA) has won three of his last four fights, his most recent victory being a unanimous decision against Chase Sherman. This competition will mark the emergence of the 34th Octagon of Legends. Meanwhile, Carlos Felipe (11-1 MMA) entered today's UFC Vegas 40 co-host event hoping for his fourth consecutive win. In their recent efforts, the Brazilian is winning the decisions behind Jack Collier and Justin Tafa. One of the UFC Vegas 40 participating events begins, the first round being a relatively strategic battle. Irvolsky stayed out of the striking range and mixed kicks and punches, while Philip's production revolved mostly around boxing. Both men have their own moments, but the change in the fight made no difference. Arolovsky doubled the number of strikes he threw in the first round. Philip had range issues in the second round, but dropped as he got closer. Too much movement by Arlovski.  With the need to take things in Round 3, Philip did just that. He was lucky when Erlovsky slipped a kick and fired some good shots when Erlovsky got up and got back on his feet, but that was all he had left in the tank. Erlowski pushed back the spread with volume punches, but none ended before the last bell. The stand-up case was almost entirely left to the judges, and all three saw it in favor of Irvolsky. Andrei Arolovski defeated Carlos Felipe by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
