Molina fought undefeated Olympic gold medalist Erislandy Lara to a disputed majority draw in another fight that many spectators thought Molina deserved.
On Showtime, Molina defeated former world champion Kermit Cintron in his next fight. He also fought on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather and defeated Ishe Smith by split decision to win the IBF Junior Middleweight title.
