Frank Warren Backs Dubois' Grit to Prevail Against Hrgovic in Saudi Showdown

Frank Warren is optimistic about Daniel Dubois' chances in his upcoming fight against Filip Hrgovic, scheduled for June 1 in Saudi Arabia. The match is part of the Queensberry versus Matchroom "5 vs. 5" card in Riyadh, with the possibility of the IBF heavyweight title being at stake.

While Dubois has always been seen as a talented fighter, Warren believes that his recent displays of determination and grit are what will set him apart in this fight. Dubois suffered his first loss to Joe Joyce due to a severely damaged eye socket and later let a chance slip against Oleksandr Usyk.

However, in his last fight against Jarrell Miller, Dubois showed mental resolve by overcoming fatigue and self-doubt to secure a victory.

Warren emphasizes that Dubois (20-2, 19 KOs) has the skills needed to defeat Hrgovic (17-0, 14 KOs), especially if he maintains the same level of determination he displayed in his previous fights.

Warren draws parallels between Dubois and former heavyweight champion Frank Bruno, who overcame his flaws and became a world champion through a combination of physical attributes and mental strength.

Dubois' ability to use his jab effectively and maintain a high pace throughout the fight will be crucial against Hrgovic, who is known for his confidence and unbeaten record.

Warren believes that if Dubois can capitalize on his strengths and demonstrate true grit, he has a good chance of emerging victorious in Riyadh.

Warren's message to Dubois is clear: "It’s about gritting your teeth and getting it done."
