Nate Maness didn’t waste any time finding a new stage to showcase his skills. Just weeks after parting ways with the UFC, where he fought seven times and earned multiple accolades, Maness has signed a multi-fight contract with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC).
The news was confirmed by his manager, Pat Wilson of Rise Sports Management, along with BKFC officials, and Maness himself took to social media to share the announcement.
"News is out. We're @bareknucklefc bound 👊#Mayhem," Maness posted on X (formerly Twitter) on September 3, 2024.
Maness’ split from the UFC came as a surprise to many, especially considering his recent success. He won back-to-back fights and boasted a 5-2 record in the promotion, with three of those victories earning him Performance of the Night bonuses. Despite this impressive run, the UFC chose not to renew his contract, leaving many to wonder why.
Maness revealed that the UFC never provided a clear explanation for their decision, though he later hinted that his level of enthusiasm might not have met the promotion's expectations.
At 33, Maness is eager to take on a new challenge in the world of bare-knuckle boxing, a sport known for its brutal intensity and raw combat. Although no date or opponent has been set for his BKFC debut, fans can expect to see "Mayhem" back in action soon.
