The title of the night's UFC 273 event was the Featherweight title fight, featuring Alex Volkanovski's challenge against the Korean Zombie for the Featherweight Championship.


Volkanovski (23-1 MMA) will return to action for the first time since defeating Brian Ortega in the September UFC 266 event. The Great is currently playing a series of twenty-fight wins, including two consecutive defenses for its featherweight title.


Meanwhile, the Korean zombie (17-6 MMA) last competed in June 2021, where he defeated Dan lge by unanimous decision. The victory came before losing to Brian Ortega in 2020.


Then, in the co-main event, an epic feud ensued when bantamweight champion Aljamin Sterling met interim champion Peter Yan to consolidate the title.


One of the rounds of the UFC 273 main event begins and the Korean zombies appear soon with a collection. Alex Volkanovski competes with a beautiful shot. He follows his with a kick. Korean zombie charges forward but Volk cuts it with the left hook. Looks like TKZ is right and Alex hits it with a low kick. Good jobs from both men. Volkanovski continues on the ground. Fighters stand and now trade in pockets. The Australian left job continues to find a home. He is hitting Korea's right eye. A large right hand descends on Volkanovski, who appears to be shaking the zombie. 'The Great' is patient and pushes 'TKZ' against the cage. He descends, but Chen Sung-jung quickly returns to his feet. A big left from Volkanovski followed by a low kick. The horn sounds to end Round One.


The second round of the UFC 273 main event begins and Alex Volkanovski returns to work with his job. The Korean zombie responds with a pair of low legs. This has resulted in some return kicks from The Great. As he tries to get inside the TKZ, he puts a big fork on the left. Zombies stand on their own two feet but eat less. He kicks high and then fires with his right hand. Alex Volkanovski shakes the Korean zombie with his right hand. He comes down second. 'TKZ' fires back and clips the champion. 'Volk' shoots and takes down. There are two minutes left in the round. The zombie is back on its feet, but Alex lands on a collection and then dives into another attempt to remove it. Australia changed the strike and made a solid combination. He scores a trip take down but TKZ quickly returns to that step. He charges forward and throws his right hand. Alex Volkanovski responds with a jaw and then a slow kick. Korean zombies with the right hand. At the end of Round Two comes the sound of the horn.




The fourth round of the UFC 273 main event begins and the Korean zombie swings and misses with the left hook. Alex Volkanovski does just that with a low kick. A big right hand landed for Australia. He makes another landing and the referee has seen enough. It's all over.
