Vasiliy Lomachenko's Fight Plan Revealed - World Champion First, Undisputed Next!

Former two-time Olympic gold medalist Vasiliy Lomachenko has his sights set on reclaiming a world title as he prepares to face George Kambosos Jr. for the vacant IBF lightweight title on May 12th. Despite already holding belts in three weight classes, Lomachenko is driven by the desire to unify the lightweight division.

For many fighters, winning a world title is the pinnacle of their career, but Lomachenko's ambitions go beyond that. He believes that holding just one of the four major titles is insufficient and considers himself incomplete without unifying the division.

"My goal right now is to be world champion again," Lomachenko stated. "After that, I can start thinking about being undisputed again."

Lomachenko's path to a world title was unusually swift, receiving a title shot in just his second professional fight. However, recent losses to Teofimo Lopez and Devin Haney have tempered his progress. Now, at 35 years old, Lomachenko understands the urgency of his situation and is focused on securing the IBF title against Kambosos.

Despite setbacks, Lomachenko remains confident in his abilities and is determined to become an undisputed champion once again. While acknowledging the challenges ahead, he remains steadfast in his pursuit of boxing greatness.
