- Deontay Wilder targeting return to boxing ring in September
Although Deontay Wilder's opponent is still quite uncertain, a bout date is getting closer. The former heavyweight champion from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, stated in a recent interview that he is currently whittling down his list of potential opponents and plans to return to the ring by August or September. During his participation at a Professional Fighters League (PFL) bout event in Atlanta, Wilder made his statements. âItâs been a bit of a dilemma what path to take and what is available and what is not,â Wilder told the PFL broadcast crew. âThereâs so many different things in the fight game. This business is, I always say, itâs one of the most difficult businesses around because itâs unstructured. Itâs so many different directions business-wise. We gonna narrow it down. People should see me back, maybe, August, no later than September.â Wilder is also currently mulling an offer to fight fellow former heavyweight titlist Anthony Joshua in a much rumored matchup for December in the Middle East. Wilder recently said he thinks the fight is âdefinitelyâ going to take place in Saudi Arabia. Wilder has not fought since he knocked out Robert Helenius in one round last October at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

- The Ripper v.s Canelo?
After Bivol and Benavides negociations went bad , Matchroom promotor Eddie Hearn after consulting it with the Canelo team he called Badou Jack's promotor Prince Khalid for possible clash between The Ripper and Canelo for the cruiserweight WBC championship in september. Canelo was already planning the move up to cruiserweight to fight Makabu before he lost to Bivol in lightheavyweight. Jack is a small cruiserweight that was a middleweight so there isnt going to be a big size difference between the two. Both teams seem interested in the fight , the fight would most likely take place in SaudĂ Arabia. Canelo wants to make history getting another title in a different division, but it wont be an easy task against the 3x champ Badou Jack, he isnt a walk in the park and he has power also , so Canelo can also get hurt in this fight. If it becomes official it will also be a good fight.

- Teofimo Lopez considering retirement unless a 9 figure contract is up on the table
Teofimo Lopez Jr. may decide to take a break from boxing, according to reports. Lopez told ringside reporters that he has "to take a break" from the sport soon after defeating Scotland's Josh Taylor on Saturday night at The Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York City to win the WBO 140-pound title. Later, Lopez made the claim that he wasn't getting paid enough, arguing that he deserved to be paid more than $1 million to fight. In the post-fight interview on Saturday night, the Brooklyn native also stated that he will now focus on suing his ex-wife in the ongoing divorce process. In a following Instagram post, Lopez, 25, reaffirmed his assertion regarding retirement. âWhat a relief! Retired at the Top,â Lopez wrote in a post that featured an old picture of him and his father. âThank you Boxing for the amazing life you've provided for myself and my entire loved ones! THE DOUBLE-GREATEST.â In an interview with The Porter Way Podcast, Lopez, who received harsh criticism from boxing fans for his divisive and odd comments in the days before Saturday's bout, elaborated on his claims of "retirement." Lopez stated that he will only return to boxing after receiving a "nine-figure contract" deal. Lopez maintained that he had given his broadcaster, ESPN, over $100 million and that as a result, he merits a higher salary. ESPN and Lopez's manager, Top Rank, have an exclusive content agreement. âI think the only way you get Teo back is a nine-figure contract deal,â Lopez said. âBecause Iâve made ESPN over a $100 million. Iâm still getting paid a million dollars to fight while all these other fighters have not even done a quarter of what Iâve done and accomplished in the sport, theyâre getting eight, 10, 12, 15 million dollars. "So obviously Iâm the black sheep of the industry and theyâre really hurting me on that end. I really want to fix the sport of the boxing world and the corruption thatâs going on.â Lopezâs win over Taylor makes him a two-division titlist and seemingly redeems a career that appeared to be on the rocks for nearly the past two years, ever since he was upset by George Kambosos Jr.
- Erin Blanchfield Aims to Break Jon Jones' Decade-Long Record and Make History in the UFC
Erin Blanchfield, a rising star in the world of MMA, is setting her sights on making history in the UFC. The talented flyweight contender is determined to surpass a record held by none other than Jon Jones himself, a feat that has remained untouched for over a decade. Widely regarded as a championship-caliber prospect, Blanchfield has garnered attention and respect within the MMA community. Many believe that she possesses the potential to become a future champion in the UFC's flyweight division. However, Blanchfield has her sights set on more than just capturing gold in her current weight class; she wants to emulate the legendary Jon Jones and claim a record that has stood strong since 2011. Jones etched his name in the annals of UFC history when he became the youngest-ever champion at the tender age of 23. His stunning TKO victory over Mauricio Rua at UFC 128 secured his place in the record books, and to this day, no one has been able to surpass his remarkable achievement. Recent developments in the women's bantamweight and featherweight divisions have created an exciting opportunity for contenders to vie for the vacant titles. Following Amanda Nunes' retirement after a dominant victory over Irene Aldana at UFC 289, the path to championship glory has opened up. According to MMA journalist Aaron Bronsteter, Erin Blanchfield is making a strong case for herself as a contender for the vacant women's bantamweight championship. Currently ranked fourth in the UFC flyweight division, the 24-year-old prodigy has expressed her desire to become the youngest-ever female UFC champion: "One candidate throwing her name in the hat for the vacant bantamweight title is Erin Blanchfield, I'm told. With a Grasso/Valentina bout expected to be next at flyweight, she is interested in facing Pena for the vacant title and becoming the youngest female UFC champion ever." The current record for the youngest women's champion in the UFC is held by Rose Namajunas. Namajunas achieved this milestone at the age of 25 by defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk to claim the strawweight championship. Erin Blanchfield's ambitious quest to surpass Jon Jones' long-standing record and etch her name in the history books of the UFC is a testament to her determination and unwavering belief in her abilities. As she continues her rise in the ranks of the flyweight division, the MMA world eagerly watches to see if Blanchfield can achieve her goal and become a trailblazer for future generations of fighters.
- Islam Makhachev's coach believes Charles Oliveira deserves Rematch
UFC 289 marked a return to form for the guy known as "do Bronx." Oliveira needed just one round against rising top contender Beneil Dariush to end the opponent's eight-fight winning streak. The former UFC lightweight champion dropped and pummelling out Dariush for the TKO after a lengthy, grappling-heavy couple of minutes in the middle of the round. A head kick signalled the end for Dariush. The victory marked Oliveira's comeback performance following his lone loss to Islam Makhachev in his previous 13 matches. Oliveira has been consistently written off throughout his extraordinary career, and he faced Dariush as the underdog. Oliveira looked exactly as strong as he did during his run to the title and silenced many sceptics, including Makhachev coach Javier Mendez. âI for sure did not think Charles was gonna be that impressive in victory. I didnât think he was gonna be able to do it like he did. I thought a great performance was gonna put him in the talks [for a title shot] but I bypassed that. Maybe itâs because I wanted Beneil to win, I donât know. But I should not have underestimated how great he is as a champion.â âI feel that in my opinion, Charles has earned the right to be No. 1 in line for it. What the UFC feels is different, but from what I see, I donât see how [it isnât Oliveira]. Do I think heâs done enough? Yeah, I think he has.â

Since calling it quit on his professional boxing career with an unbeaten 50-match record and 15 world championships, Mayweather has frequently engaged in exhibition matches against YouTubers and mixed martial artists. His most recent performance was on Sunday evening in Sunrise, Florida's FLA Live Arena. The 46-year-old boxing legend there competed against MMA fighter John Gotti III, who is the respective grandson and son of mafiosos John Gotti and John A. Gotti. The rivalry between the two persisted on fight night after a heated buildup, with the two constantly exchanging insults. And in round six, referee Kenny Bayless stopped the fight when it got to the point where his directions weren't being obeyed. Unfortunately, the activity wasn't going to end there. Gotti III surged by Bayless and went after Mayweather as soon as he intervened. The MMA fighter was sent back by "Money" with a crisp right hook after the two traded blows. Following that, members from both sides swarmed the ring and a large-scale battle broke out. Minutes later, the fight even spilled into the crowd, where several more altercations also occurred.

- The panorama at 140lbs.
Just imagine a tournament between these four champions. You have Regis Prograis (WBC) , Rolando Romero (WBA), Subriel Matias (IBF) and the newly crowned champion Teofimo Lopez (WBO). It would be one hell of a tournament and if I would predict a winner it would be Teofimo Lopez winning the final against Regis Prograis. The other two champs Romero and Matias I see as weaker champions but of course I can be wrong, there is only one way to find out.
- UFC 289: Charles Oliveira DESTROY Beneil Dariush
Islam Makhachev, the UFC lightweight champion, and Charles Oliveira have an unresolved business. Oliveira decisively re-entered the title discussion on Saturday, stopping lightweight contender Beneil Dariush inside one round at UFC 289 in Vancouver. Oliveira hinted to the fight's conclusion right away. As soon as the battle began, "Do Bronx" kicked Dariush in the head hard. Dariush ate it well and commanded the round by walloping his opponent in the top position. Oliveira delivered the identical strike to his opponent when the fight resumed on his feet. Dariush managed to stop some of it, but the force was too much. Oliveira used hammer fists to knock Dariush nearly out of his senses after wobbling him with a subsequent strike. In his post-fight remarks, Oliveira emphasised that his subpar performance against Makhachev at UFC 280 was merely a one-off event. He also called for a title rematch. On Twitter, Makhachev praised Oliveira's performance but cautioned the former champion that "there's levels to this game." Dariush will find it challenging to accept the defeat. He had a career-high eight-fight winning streak and was in exceptional shape. This Monday, Dariush told the media that UFC president Dana White had guaranteed him a shot at the title if he defeated Oliveira.

The 35-year-old is the only woman to have held two titles in the organization and is widely recognized as the finest women's mixed martial artist ever. "My mum has been asking me so much to do this for so long. She can't take it anymore. I want to enjoy everything that I have made. I want to travel a bit with my family. "I left my family in Brazil when I was so young for this dream but I never thought in my mind I would become a champion. But when I became a champion it was unbelievable. She was in control of the bout throughout and defended her bantamweight title, winning by scores of 50-44, 50-44 and 50-43. Nunes, who is also the UFC women's featherweight champion, has had a stellar career spanning 15 years and 27 fights, including two of the most dominant title reigns in UFC history.
