Ruiz said to be ready to go, because its been a long training camp for this fight and is ready to go for the whole twelve rounds. Its his plan to go the distance and fight round by round. Jorge Masvidal and recently inducted UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier have been going back and forth on twitter following Cormier’s comments on ‘Gamebred’. Former featherweight WBC champ Gary Russell Jr is still on recovery from his shoulder surgery after the Magsayo fight. His recovery has been fast but he doesnt want to rush anything and doesnt want to come back of he isnt at 100%. He doesnt know if he will be back but what he does know is that he has to take it slow and allow his shoulder to recover.

Jones and Nurmagomedov don’t seem to have any genuine bad blood between them, But Jones kind of feels disrespected by his resume getting pushed to the curb in favor of Nurmagomedov in the GOAT debate. The debate was initiated when Khabib announced his retirement after defending his title against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. Khabib maintained a perfect record of 29-0 in his MMA career which put him on top of the pound-for-pound ranking with Jon Jones in second. The statistics Jones posted are true, but some critics pointed out that he doesn’t deserve to be called as greatest of all time because he has been involved in multiple failed drug tests and has been involved in controversies. While others thought Jones is right despite his bad reputation outside the cage. There is no doubt that Jones is a complete beast inside the octagon as he has defended his title against some notable names in UFC like Daniel Cormier, Alexander Gustafsson, Lyoto Machida, and Rashad Evans. UFC lightweight standout Terrance McKinney even chimed in to tell Jones he needs to make his comeback. It is difficult to debate that Jones has a stronger career resume than Khabib but one distinction for those who may rate Khabib higher is that they rate him as the “better” fighter regardless of his short career in UFC. Khabib might have continued to defend his title if the sudden demise of his mentor, his father Abdulmanap had not happened. The death of his father broke him completely which led him to retire in his peak era. This dispute can be intensified by the statement that Khabib set a record of being undefeated throughout his career which no UFC fighter has been able to match. It appears that Colby Covington's pending lawsuit against Jorge Masvidal won't have any impact on his return to the octagon. 'Chaos' readiness to fight again has recently been confirmed by UFC president Dana White. Colby Covington is prepared to fight, according to UFC President Dana White, and the organization is preparing for him to compete soon inside the Octagon. Colby Covington last stepped foot in the Octagon in March where he faced his arch nemesis Jorge Masvidal and won convincingly against him. However, the bad blood still continued even after their war inside the octagon was over. Masvidal assaulted Colby outside a steakhouse where he was hanging out with the famous youtubers named Nelk boys. In response to Gamebred’s actions Colby decided to press charges against him. Covington reported to the police that Masvidal assaulted him outside the Papi Steak Restaurant, causing a fractured tooth and an abrasion on his wrist. Covington also said that his $90,000 Rolex watch, which he was wearing that evening, had sustained damage worth about $15,000. The tone of Masvidal's voice and the hair Covington claimed to have seen poking out of his hoodie allowed him to recognize him. He claimed that during the alleged incident, his teammate UFC fighter had a surgical mask covering his face. This was seen as a barrier in terms of Colby’s return to the octagon. But Dana White has made it clear that we will be seeing Chaos Covington very soon in action. The most notable matchup for Covington could be the winner of Khamzat Chimaev vs Nate Diaz. Chimaev, being the heavy favorite, will be in the contention to face Colby. The rumors [were] that he was very bad. He had a neck injury, the nerves were very bad — he lost a little bit of movement in his neck. He kinda broke his jaw again, he had surgery and the surgery didn’t go well. He’s still doing the PT [physical therapy], he’s not training. If everything goes okay, he’s only back in March — that’s what I heard. I don’t know if it’s true, but I [heard] from guys that know him. Even though ORTIZ V.S RUIZ is a WBC title elimanator they believe WBC champ Tyson Fury will want Usyk next before the winner of this fight.

With less than a month away from their grudge match Gennady Golovkin said that many mexicans love him and nobody in Kazakhstan loves Canelo. He is right many of Canelos countrymen dont like him, Like I said in an article I wrote a few weeks back" Canelo: a man who divides a nation" Many are with him but most are not. GGG is trying to get in Canelos head and he is doing a good job at it. Canelo has bad intentions for this trilogy fight because of Golovkin's coments. Weather he has the people with him or not ,only them two will go in that ring and fight that night.

This past weekend everybody was talking about A.J 's meltdown and how he lost it. Nobody was talking about how the unified world champion Oleksandr Usyk stayed calm and composed during the tantrum. He is the type of fighter that does his talking with his fist, he doesnt like to disrespect fighters or talk crap and do a show for the crowd outside of the ring. I believe he is a good role model for young kids in boxing. Unlike other fighters like Tyson Fury that always talks nonsence and if he screws up he blames mental health issues. Usyk is doing his job with respect to everyone and keeping his cool even when in his country they are at war, where he has lost friends and maybe even family members. Even under those circumstances he behaves like a man and not like a drama queen or diva and he keeps prooving boxing experts wrong and taking over the heavyweight división. I believe Tyson Fury is the best in the heavyweight división but I just got on the Usyk bandwagon.

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman and his organization have put a deadline to WBC Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury's people to confirm if retired or not. The deadline is for august 26th to recieve a written confirmation from the champions team.

McGregor underwent surgery on July 11, hours after his fight with Dustin Poirier, and was stopped at the end of the first round when he tried to plant his left foot and his leg collapsed under him. Being ranked #12 currently in the lightweight division, the Irishman still dreams of being awarded a title fight on his return despite his current form. But earlier this year, A well-documented MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz, who has guided the career of his bitter rival Khabib Nurmagomedov, claimed that there doesn’t stand any slightest chance for McGregor to have a title fight on his return to the UFC octagon. While speaking with The Schmo, Abdelaziz stated: "He has not won a fight since [Barack] Obama was a president. He’s popular because he’s a Twitter fighter now. He’s an Instagram fighter. The last time he fought, did he show us he was worthy enough to fight for a UFC title?" Abdelaziz continued that he is fully aware of how UFC matchmaking works, and UFC President Dana White won’t give the title shot to McGregor on a silver platter although he is a pay-per-view seller. "Listen to me. I understand the UFC business, but I know Dana White like the back of my hand. Dana White will never give Conor McGregor a title fight coming off three losses. I know him. And if he did, I’ll be f***ing shocked." Despite his losing streak, The Notorious remains in demand as he has been called out by notable fighters like Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler in their post-fight interview. Fighting Conor means a huge paycheck by the end of the day.
