  • UFC 272 card: Masvidal vs Covington and all fights details and results

The UFC is returning to PPV on Saturday, March 5 from Las Vegas with a rare non-title main event. At the top of the list is the much-anticipated feud between former friends and team-mate Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington. Every man can do this to start a fresh march towards the welterweight belt, to win a big victory against the other here. When asked what the headlines will be the morning after this weekend’s main event, Masvidal told ESPN: “Colby in critical condition, might not fully make it.” The controversial Covington, meanwhile, told TMZ: “I’m gonna drag it out, I’m gonna make him suffer. It’s gonna be a funeral.” The question arises, who in your opinion will be able to fulfill his word? Which fighter's hand are you looking up? Please let us know what you think. Thank you. • UFC Fight Night results, highlights: Islam Makhachev rolls over Bobby Green

Islam Makhachev made a statement that if he wanted to stand out as the next UFC lightweight title contender, he would have to get rid of Bobby Green as soon as he was ready and he could. Islam Makhachev did exactly what he said he would do, dismissing Bobby Green in five minutes. Makhachev took a few minutes to get Green's timing before washing his opponent and leaving UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Makhachev vs. Beneil Dariush, a title eliminator, was originally scheduled for Saturday's Fight Night. Dariush was ruled out due to injury, which opened the door for Green to step up in 14 days after defeating Nasrat Haparast in UFC 272. Makhachev acknowledged that he needed to finish in the first round to win the UFC lightweight title shot against winner Charles Oliveira VS Justin Gaethje. Makhachev stood his ground. Makhachev and Green tried to outsmart each other's technique and attack until about the first half of the round. Makhachev then vowed to attack and shell, but refused to give up. While Green was second to none, he initially performed well in thwarting the offensive, but Makhachev's power could not be denied. Khabib Nurmagomedov's followers continued to take down together until he grounded Green and worked towards the mountain. Makhachev caught Green between the full mount and the backmount, attacking the opponent full of shelling until referee Herb Dean finished the match. Round 1 officially ended at 3:23 a.m. via TKO. Makhachev (21-1) has won 10 and 11 straight out of his last 12 in the UFC. A native of Dagestan, he is a longtime training partner of former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, who is now his coach. Makhachev, 30, was expected to take a torch from Nurmagomedov and become a champion after Normagomedov's retirement. It was a plan devised by Nurmagomedov's late father, Abdelmanap, a longtime coach of both men. "I'm feeling good. Thank God for this performance. I'm very happy. I just want a title fight," Makhachev said in a post-fight interview. I'm tired of all these things. I need a title fight. I'm ready. I am present. " " Beneil is one of the best people in the world. I'm going to get this belt and I'll be there waiting for him." Green (29-12-1), a fan favorite, had been on something of a late-career roll, winning five of his past seven fights coming in and two straight. A California native, he defeated Nasrat Haqparast via unanimous decision at UFC 271 on Feb. 12. Green, 35, has been a pro fighter for 14 years and in the UFC since 2013. "I'm really disappointed but it happens when you try to put something together so fast. There are so many things we've gone through. I'd love another chance with the whole camp," Green said. " The question is, will Makhachev win the title? Who will be the winner of Oliveira VS Justin Gaethje? And winner will he be able to stop Makhachev's conquests?

  • Bellator 275 breakdown: Does Austin Vanderford have a shot against champ Gegard Mousasi?

Bellator returns to Dublin, Ireland for MMA Bellator 275. Headlining the card is a middleweight title fight between champion Gegard Mousasi and challenger Austin Vanderford, both of whom had no problem losing weight. The weight was mostly unusual as only Jamie Hay, the early lifter, lost less than a pound in his featherweight match against Lee Hammond. Mousasi (48-7-2) has lost only once since joining the promotion and has successfully reclaimed the title he lost to Rafael Lovato Jr. in 2020. "The Dream Catcher" was last seen knocking out John Salter last year and will continue to try. Its speed Moses officially weighed 184.6 pounds to defend his latest title. "Against Cage, it is possible that I tried to take him down, but he is a better wrestler than me," Mousasi told the media on Belitar 275 Media Day. . There is no need to try to take it down because it tries to take me down all the time. My ground and pounds are much better than that, I am sure it is difficult. in." Gegard Moussais hopes Baletter Dublin will make a busy start in 2022 as he looks forward to a boxing match with UFC legend Anderson Silva. This will bring some necessary consistency. An unbeatable prospect who wants to take the next step is the biggest fight of Wonder Ford's career (11-0). After proving he was a contender by winning the decision over Fabian Edwards, "The Gentleman" is now 5-0 inside the Baleter Cage. The Title Challenger stepped on the scale of 183.7 pounds. "I expect Gegard to be Gegard and it won't change much from all his previous fights," said Vanderford. "I'm just a different animal and a different competitor he's going to face. I hope I win and I'm excited for Friday night. That would mean getting this belt. Everything will happen. Pictures of the other day and I can't think of leaving Ireland without it. " prediction Gegard Mousasi vs. Austin Vanderford: Mousasi is definitely at the bottom of his career, but when you have competed with him at a high level for a long time, this statement takes on a different meaning. Moses has proven his ability to take advantage of the weaknesses of his opponents and continues to win. Throw and Throw, a financier, has an 80% finishing rate for 57 professionals. Vanderford set out his submissions and approach behind the heavy wrestling approach of ground and pound grinding. Vanderford is a talented fighter who has earned his title shot, but extensive musical experience makes it difficult to pick an underdog (five times more than an MMA fight). Vanderford will present a challenge, but Mousasi will equip himself with the tools necessary for victory by digging a wide bag of his tricks. He can kill, he can collect and he can wrestle - he can pick his poison. • 2 changes in UFC Fight Night on February 26.

The UFC Fight Night Card is being held inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on February 26, with the card headlined by a light-hearted action that could prove to be the title winner between Beneil Dariush and Islam Makhachev. The main event of the Fight Night was a pairing contest originally designed to pit Beneil Dariush against Makhachev, whose childhood friend and cornerman Khabib Nurmagomedov had previously held the belt his partner Dagestani is pursuing. Green stepped in due to Darwish's injury, however, just two weeks after defeating Nasrat Haqparast through the last American battle with decision. About which we have already published the details. Which can be seen on our page. Today we will talk about the changes in the UFC Fight Night Card. Which is very important for you to know. The first change came in the form of a flyweight tilt, reported by John Hyon Ko between Ji Yeon Kim (9-4-2) and Priscilla Cachoeira (10-4), confirmed by other outlets. The pairing may come as a surprise, with Cachoeira stepping on relatively short notice, although many expected her to be cut off from the roster after several eyeballs in her last outing. Kim initially had to compete with Poliana Botelho in UFC 270, only for Botelho to take back and eliminate the pairing. Kim recently posted on her Instagram about her struggle with COVID-19, and also revealed that a former rival contracted the virus during Fight Week to end a fight. "Fire fist" will try to get a two-fight skid, where she left decisions to Alexa Grasso and Molly McCann in their solo appearances in 2020 and 2021, respectively. South Korea plans to take their UFC record to .500 with a win over Brazilian. This fight card has been changed to another women's contest, which was originally set for Jennifer Gonzalez vs Josiana Nunes, but for unknown reasons the promotion led to Josiane Nunes vs. Yanan Wu (12-4) in the Bantamweight division. (8-1) is booked. Nunes made a splash in his promotional debut in August 2021, and shot Bea Malecki, who was much taller than a punch, to extend his winning streak to seven. The 5-foot-3 Brazilian bantamweight placed on the roster with six consecutive wins on the regional circuit, his last five coming through two knockout rounds. The only defeat of her career was in 2013 against current top flyweight competitor Taila Santos. China's Wu will try to end the losing streak of a two-fight decision, in which she lost to Mizuki Inoue in 2019 and then left a unanimous decision for Jocelyn Edwards in 2021. Wu has had a difficult UFC era to date, with five fight cancellations in four real contests since his 2017 promotional debut. Most recently, he tried to face former flyweight champion Nicco Montano in July 2021, but Montano lost seven pounds to force him to cancel. Finally, the UFC moved Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Marcin Tybura's recently booked heavyweight clash from the event to UFC 273 in April. The reshuffle was first reported by MMA Fighting, although it is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. The UFC Fight Night Card will host a major lightweight headliner event between Benel Dariush and Islam Makhachev at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on February 26. There will also be a light heavyweight bout between Ryan Spin and Ian Katilaba, as well as a light bout between Arman Zarukian against Joel Alvarez.
