PFL Europe Introduces Welterweight Class with Stacked Roster

PFL Europe has unveiled the eight fighters set to compete in the welterweight bracket for the 2024 season, marking a new addition to the promotion's lineup. The 170-pound weight class replaces the light heavyweight division for the upcoming season.

Among the competitors are several familiar names in the MMA world, having previously fought on notable promotions. Ibrahim Mané from France leads the pack, boasting a five-fight win streak dating back to 2021. He previously competed in Bellator in 2018 before finding success in French promotion Ares FC.

Mané's first opponent in the bracket will be Chequina Noso Pedro from the Netherlands, who last fought in BRAVE CF.

Another notable match-up features Daniele Miceli, who has limited experience in Bellator and is expected to have joined PFL Europe through the acquisition of Bellator's roster. Miceli will face Yassin Najid from France, who suffered a loss to Ibrahim Mané in Ares FC.

Bulgaria's Marian Dimitrov will return to MMA on March 7 after competing in other rulesets for various promotions, including a decision win in BKFC. His last MMA bout was in 2022 against current UFC fighter Christian Leroy Duncan for the Cage Warriors middleweight title. Dimitrov will fight Erhan Kartal from Austria.

Completing the welterweight bracket is Florim Zendeli from Albania, known for finishing all seven of his wins, including a victory over Chequina Noso Pedro. He will face Tomasz “Mad Dog” Łangowski from Poland, who has secured knockout wins in five of his six professional victories.

The opening round matches, along with the first four fights of the lightweight bracket, are scheduled to take place at the Accor Arena in Paris, France, on March 7.
