- Deontay Wilder to make a decision about his next fight in coming weeks
Deontay Wilder defeated Robert Helenius in one round at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn in October of last year, but hasn't competed since. The possibility of Wilder facing former two-time champion Anthony Joshua on a date in December in Saudi Arabia has been discussed for a number of weeks. Additionally, Wilder and Andy Ruiz have been mentioned in connection with a WBC-ordered final eliminator, in which the victor is required to meet Tyson Fury. Wilder's head coach Malik Scott suggests that his athlete won't procrastinate on deciding on his next matchup for very long. Before the month of July, Scott says, a decision will be made regarding whether Wilder will fight in the near future or wait until December to face Joshua. "Thereâs no telling if Deontay will fight between now and December. Absolutely I would like to fight between now and December. That's no secret at all. Andy Ruiz is right there in the mix. Anything can happen. Weâre one move away from making very crucial decisions for the better of Deontayâs career," Scott said to Betway. "For Deontay not to fight between now and December, the compensation that Deontay would need to receive would have to be extremely high because once again he's a businessman, he doesn't sit around and wait. So, if he considers sitting around and waiting, then he will have to be compensated, and he will have to be compensated very, very well, because that means he's putting a lot of opportunities on hold, putting his legacy on hold, and to do that you have to compensate a man like Deontay. "The Saudis understand that type of business, so that wouldn't even be an issue. That's something that they know. If we want them to wait then we have to do this. These guys are real businessmen. They know what they want for the country. They know what they want to do and how they want to do it. We wonât be waiting until the end of summer to get this signed. I promise you that. We will definitely know before July."
- Muhammad Mokaev is frustrated with ranked opponents turning him down
UFC's rising star Muhammad Mokaev finds himself facing an unexpected roadblock on his path to greatness. Despite an impressive undefeated record and a promising start to his UFC career, Mokaev is frustrated with the lack of ranked opponents willing to face him. The 22-year-old fighter has set his sights on becoming the youngest champion in UFC history, but his aspirations are being hindered by the reluctance of his peers. Mokaev's recent victory over Jafel Filho in March was marred by a partial MCL tear, but that hasn't dampened his determination. He is eager to return to action and is eyeing either the upcoming London card in July or UFC 292 in Boston on August 19th. However, his inability to secure a fight against a ranked flyweight has put a damper on his plans, leaving him frustrated and eager for a breakthrough opportunity. âItâs very, very hard at the moment,â Mokaev said on the âBelieve You Meâ podcast. âWhen I wasnât ranked, I beat Cody Durden in under 50 seconds and after that, I beat LFA champion Charles Johnson, Malcolm Gordon, Jafel Filho, who came out of Contender Series. These guys are older than me by 10 years. Now Iâm ranked No. 12, and people donât want to fight me, ranked guys. Now ranked guys are saying, âGo have one more fight,â and then if I beat somebody else, theyâre gonna say, âYouâre still fighting unranked guys.â In an attempt to take matters into his own hands, Mokaev reached out to Matt Schnell and Tim Elliott, both of whom have fights booked in June. He received positive responses from both fighters, on the condition that they emerge from their respective bouts unscathed. While hopeful, Mokaev remains wary, knowing that anything can happen in the unpredictable world of mixed martial arts. Not content with private messages, Mokaev has taken his frustrations public, engaging in a back-and-forth with Manel Kape and Brandon Royval. Royval, currently serving as the backup for the flyweight title fight between Brandon Moreno and Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 290 on July 8th, has become a point of contention for Mokaev. âManel Kape, for example, he didnât accept a fight against me,â Mokaev said. âHeâs ranked No. 9, heâs 3-2 in the UFC, but he said, âYouâre not on my level.â What can I do if these guys donât want to fight me? How can I not be his level if he lost to all ranked guys.â With his unbeaten record and relentless drive, Muhammad Mokaev has proven his worth in the octagon. However, the lack of opportunities against ranked opponents is threatening to derail his quest for gold. As the young fighter continues to navigate the challenges of the UFC, his determination and skill are sure to capture the attention of the mixed martial arts world. As Mokaev awaits his breakthrough moment, fans eagerly anticipate the day he can showcase his skills against the best in the division, inching closer to his dream of becoming the youngest champion in UFC history.

In ancient China, martial arts systems like Kung Fu and Tai Chi emerged as a means of self-defense and personal development. These early forms of combat sports laid the foundation for future disciplines. Modernization and Rule Standardization: The 19th and 20th centuries marked a significant shift in combat sports. Boxing emerged as a regulated sport with the Marquess of Queensberry Rules, emphasizing fair play, gloves, and weight classes. - Cejudo in search of gold, open to be back up fighter
Henry Cejudo, the former UFC bantamweight champion, is ready to make his return to the octagon and dive right back into the title picture. Following a narrow-split decision loss to current champion Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288, Cejudo has set his sights on a potential interim title fight against rising star Sean O'Malley if Sterling is unable to compete. Scheduled for UFC 292 on August 19, Sterling's upcoming title defence against O'Malley has been met with uncertainty. The champion has expressed the need to assess his body before committing to the fight, leading UFC President Dana White to question why he accepted the bout in the first place. In response to this uncertainty, Cejudo has proposed a high-stakes interim fight against O'Malley. âIf Aljamain Sterling is playing this game that heâs not ready, he needs a little more time, (then) letâs make an interim fight between me and Sean OâMalley,â Cejudo said on his YouTube channel. âItâs a bigger fight, itâs what the UFC wanted initially. Itâs the same reason why they brought me out to chase and beat Aljamain Sterling. âYeah, OK, I took a loss. Split decision, Iâll take it on the chin, but thereâs still an opportunity there for me. After a three-year layoff, coming back, losing by split decision, being ranked now No. 3, that puts me in a really good position. I wanted Merab, and Iâm still willing to wait for Merab. But if that fight with Sean OâMalley happens to open up, Iâm 100 percent in, Dana White.â Expressing his willingness to wait for a matchup against Merab Dvalishvili, Cejudo is open to seizing the opportunity to face O'Malley, considering it a bigger fight for both him and the UFC. He believes that an interim title fight would be a fitting way to continue his quest for gold. In an unexpected turn, Cejudo has also offered to serve as a backup for the Sterling vs. O'Malley title fight. Although it deviates from his usual approach, Cejudo recognizes that without the championship belt around his waist, this backup role could be his pathway back to the gold. He emphasizes the need for appropriate compensation and intends to discuss the matter with his manager, Ali Abdelaziz. As the MMA world eagerly awaits Sterling's decision and the fate of UFC 292, Henry Cejudo's bold suggestions have added an intriguing twist to the bantamweight division. Whether he secures the interim title fight against O'Malley or assumes the role of backup, one thing is clearâCejudo is determined to reclaim his throne and reignite his championship journey.

- Randy Couture wants this to change in MMA
wants to see one key change in MMA as the sport expands globally. Couture is one of the most decorated athletes in the history of MMA. After a great career that included unforgettable title fights, knockouts, and events that transformed the sport forever, he is now a member of the UFC Hall of Fame. The public's perception of MMA and combat sports has transformed thanks to superstar athletes like Conor McGregor. Couture has made it clear that he wants to see improved fighter pay and general treatment in the sport. He has criticised various promotions' business structures and the way that contracts are structured ever since he was a member of the UFC. Couture wants the Muhammad Ali Act, which would incorporate mixed martial arts in the legislation, to be passed by a coalition of some of the greatest MMA leaders. "For me, that's a simple answer," Couture said. "To amend the Muhammad Ali Act to include all combative sports athletes and not just boxers. It's an easy fix, it creates transparency in our sport, and it eliminates a bunch of restrictive contracts that are controlling athletes across the board. Maybe then we'll see some cross-promotional fights at the pay-per-view level. The Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act, passed by the US Congress in 2000, provides federal support for boxing commissions and safeguards the rights of fighters. The Ali Act was put into place as a result of rampant mistreatment of boxers, such as fixed matches and deceptive athlete rankings
- Shakur Stevenson wants to establish himself by beating the likes of Devin Haney
Shakur Stevenson, a top lightweight who has never lost, is considering his possibilities at 135 pounds, but he has Devin Haney as his ultimate opponent in mind. Last Saturday night in Las Vegas, Stevenson watched as Haney defeated three division champion Vasiliy Lomachenko in a close twelve-round unanimous decision. Meanwhile, Stevenson considers a matchup with Gervonta "Tank" Davis to be the biggest bout at his weight class. "I think both [Davis and Haney] fights is great fights for me," Stevenson said to TMZ. "Obviously, I think me and Tank is a bigger fight, but me and Dev is a fight where I could establish who I am as a fighter." Stevenson approached the ring and briefly conversed with the uncontested champion after Haney successfully defended his titles against Lomachenko. Haney is the preferred opponent for Stevenson (20-0, 10 KOs), but there is no assurance that he will remain at 135 pounds. The junior welterweight limit of 140 may be targeted by him in near future. "If [Devin] can't make the weight and he don't feel the same, then just go up, but if it was me, if I was in his shoes, I would have the [Loma] rematch. I would have to show the world that that dude can't f---- with me. That's how I would do it," Stevenson said. "It's definitely some great fights to make. If [Devin] stays, I think me and Dev should fight next. If he doesn't stay and he decides to go to 140, I think me and Lomachenko should bang it out. I think that's the big fight and the world get to see who I truly am, how special I am. "I feel like Lomachenko just showed the world that he's not washed. He's not washed up. Now that we know that, I think it's only right, throw me in there with him, and let's see if I'm the truth. I'll keep saying I'm the truth."

- Terrence Crawford aims to fry Eroll Spence Jr like a fish in their upcoming super fight
Both Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford have blatantly said that they are the best fighters in the welterweight class for the better part of the last five years. Of course, there was only one brutal method to settle those ideas and opinionsâfighting it out in the ring. Fans have raged and salivated over the prospect of the two trading blows, but they were never able to reach a fight agreementâuntil now. âThe wait is over,â said Crawford on a self-recorded video. âItâs game time. Errol Spence, Terence Crawford, July 29th, Las Vegas, Nevada.â Despite having staked his claim in three different weight classes, 35-year-old Crawford has spent his whole career as the man to defeat. The native of Omaha, Nebraska, is regarded by many as the best boxer in the world pound-for-pound in addition to his stellar record. Spence, though, doesn't agree with that assertion. The strong Southpaw has made it his mission throughout the years to dethrone each and every welterweight title. The Texas resident gained notoriety by doing so and went by the name "The Big Fish." Spence (28-0, 22 KOs) has largely lived true to his self-given moniker. When last seen, Yordenis Ugas had lost his WBA title after being pummelling by the current unified champion, who stopped the fight in 10 rounds. Spence has his sights set squarely on Crawford's WBO trophy now that he holds three of the four remaining belts. Crawford (39-0, 30 KOs) hasn't been phased by his destructive work. Spence appears to have earned his new alias, and Crawford has grinned menacingly the entire time. The slick-hitting celebrity has decided that on July 29th, he will take out his fishing rod, light a fire, and burn Spence alive. âEverybody come out, show support and watch me fry this fish.â
