  • UFC 266 highlight : Volkanovski vs Ortega

Saturday night's event heald some of the best matches to watch this year. Spectators saw a great match between Alexander Volkanovski and Ortega. Alexander Volkanovski successfully defended his UFC Featherweight Championship in Las Vegas with a unanimous decision over Brian Ortega in the main event of UFC 266. The first round showed that both men had their own moments as the strike figures were almost identical. Volkanovski was a little more efficient, moving in and out and setting his leg and body kicks. However, the challenger used his length to do his job well and impede the champion's rhythm. While the second round increased the heat in both fighters. Volkanovski played the role of aggressor more and more often. He repeatedly pressed Ortega on the fence and carried out some significant attacks. After the second round, the two exchanged words. With the two sharing the Ultimate Fighter season as coaches, it should come as no surprise that there was some added intensity. From that moment on, the battle reached a whole new level. Ortega sank in a deep guillotine from which Volkanovski escaped. In the fifth round, Orga was beaten up, but was still fighting. He took a right hand that looked heavy. Ultimately, it was the kind of fight that would raise the profile of both fighters. Volkanovski's rise to the championship has been incredible, but his victory over Ortega adds even more legitimacy to his reign. Although the champion has only two title defenses to his name, he has already won over some of the top names in the division. He won three of the top five, including two on Holloway. So now goes the question, who will Volkanovski fight next? Fight.TV wants to know!

  • Holloway vs Rodriguez for Nov 13th

A new highly anticipated featherweight fight between Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez has been set. On Friday, ESPN first reported that Holloway vs. Rodriguez had been lined up to be featured on the UFC's November 13th fight card. The pair were originally expected to face UFC on ESPN in July, until Holloway's injury pushed the match back. The report also states that the UFC is hopeful that the card will be broadcast on ABC. No location determined yet. Both are in the top 5 of the Featherweight Division, with the winner of the event likely to compete for the UFC Featherweight title against the winner of tonights UFC 266's Alex Volkanowski vs. Brian Ortega Fight. Holloway (22-6) would like to position himself for another shot at their old title with a win in the event. After losing consecutive battles against Alexander Volkanovski, Holloway returned to the winning column against Calvin Kattar in July. Yair Rodriguez (13-2, 1NC) will be seen playing the spoiler. "El Pantera" won against Jeremy Stephens in October 2019. The lack of activity has severely affected Mexico's featherweight, who has not competed in two years. After several rounds with Zabit Megomedsharipov, Rodriguez headed for Holloway. The UFC's November 13th event does not yet have a venue or broadcast plan that has been officially announced, but the promotion is expected to feature all Fight Night programs at the Apex in Las Vegas this year. • Nick Diaz sounding pessimistic pre-fight with Lawler

In an interview with ESPN.COM, Diaz had much to get off his shoulders regarding his stance in combat sports and how he feels about the upcoming bout - "I never enjoyed fighting, It’s just something that I do. It’s just what I do. I tried to get away from it, but really it’s kind of inevitable. It is. All the people around me and all the money and sponsors, they won’t let me get away from fighting. There’s things I could do, but it’s not going to work out. I might as well just go and take my punches. I don’t want to look back and say, ‘Why did I not just do it?’ I feel great to fight, I don’t feel great about everything. But if I don’t do this, I don’t know how I’m going to feel about myself two years down the road if I’m sitting here going, ‘Why didn’t I just go and do these fights I would have won? This is not enjoyable. This whole thing is for everybody else. I’m glad that the fans are happy, and that they love and that’s just what gets them going. It got me going when I was a kid. Five months in, I was like, ‘In five months I’m going to be good,’ and in five months I was good. Then, ‘After I make 5-0, I’m going to be so good,’ and I didn’t even make it to 5-0, and then I had to go back for more. After that, it was just no way out. I see the kids, I try to tell them, are you sure you want to do this, kid? I like to teach and train and be a part of the sport. I’ve got a few fights left, and if I can survive that and keep the ball rolling a little bit, it’s probably a better option than not fighting. I do believe that I’m the best fighter in the world. I think I’ll beat the sh*t out of Usman. I’ve got a better shot of beating Usman than I do Lawler, just ‘cause I already beat Lawler. It doesn’t make sense for me to go in there and fight Robbie Lawler again. I don’t know why I’m doing this. This should not happen. Whoever set this up is an idiot. I don’t know why I’m doing this. I don’t know why this is happening. I should be fighting Kamaru Usman and that’s it. I don’t want to fight the guys my brother just fought. My brother fights at the same weight as me, so it’s like, kind of tough, ‘cause I don’t want to get in his way and he gets in my way, then I get in his way and I’m like, ‘Hey bro, take the whole damn thing ‘cause that’s what I wanted for you, was to be OK.’ I really sacrificed myself for him. I’m going to go in there and fight Robbie Lawler again, and he don’t deserve to get his ass whooped, and I know I’m going to beat the sh*t out of him and I don’t wanna. If I lose, I don’t want to lose to Robbie Lawler. I already beat him. That just sucks. I feel pretty good today actually. I hope I feel as good fight day as I do today. I just feel ready to fight.” So fight fans, Fight.TV wants to know. Are you surprised by anything Nick Diaz said? Do you think he's going to beat Lawler for a second time? Let us know!

  • Tommy Fury Shuts Down Jake Paul's Final Offer

Fury and Paul have been arguing with each other for the past few months. Fury insists that Paul is not a real fighter. Paul has tried to make things personal by claiming that Fury's girlfriend has infiltrated his DM's. Paul claims that Fury turned down the offer of two fights. He used prior bouts as a precautionary story with a final presentation on Twitter. Fury admits he turned down two offers because he thought it was a joke. Fury was highlighted on the same card where he extended his professional boxing record to 7-0 against Anthony Taylor. As far as his next rival is concerned, Paul has no shortage of options. He could go with Woodley for a second time, who is ready to get a "I Love Jack Paul" tattoo for a rematch. George Masvidal is calling for a fight, although it is unlikely because of his UFC contract. Paul, who also won against former UFC champions Woodley and Askren, was thought to be preparing for a future fight against Fiori, although talks have now stalled. Fury and Paul appear to be on the verge of a confrontation. The only question at the moment is whether an agreement can be reached about them fighting? It looks like Fury doesn't take Paul seriously enough to fight. Fight.TV wants to know, who do you think would win?

  • Shevchenko says only a superhuman Murphy could surprise her

Shevchenko will face Murphy and will be defending the flyweight title for the fifth time. Valentine Shechenko is taking it very seriously, which can be gauged from his recent statement. On April 24, 2021, Valentina Shevchenko won TKO's landslide victory over Brazilian powerhouse Jessica Andrade to become the fourth successful defender of the flyweight title. Valentina Shechenko is a dominant and fast-paced champion. She is 21-3 overall and 7-0 after her second defeat to Amanda Nunes in 2017. With the perfect combination of knockouts, submissions and decisions (seven each), Valentina is able to win in all aspects of mixed martial arts. But, her impressive record does not tell the whole story of the "The Bullet" era over the Flyweight Division. Like many elite champions, Shevchenko likes to advance her time, study in the cage and then attack. In her last fight, Shevchenko made only 16 total strikes in the first round. Then, in Round 2, she threw 23 strikes, 22 of which landed, before ending the fight through TKO. Murphy turns out to be tough and aggressive. In her last 3 fights, she struck out 48, 48, and 57 in the first round of each fight, respectively. Overall, Murphy averages 3.9 significant strikes per minute with 40% accuracy. However, her aggressive style tests her chin. Although Murphy never gave up, she absorbed 4.2 major strikes per minute. Murphy prefers a stanf up match-up but is able to clinch and go to the ground. The straightforward analysis of the statistics is this: Murphy will come out in a potentially aggressive manner against Shevchenko, who is trying to strike and hurt her soon. Meanwhile, Shevchenko will either try to shoot a take-down. Or, more likely, stay outside and move between counter strikes when she reads Murphy's Trends. If the fight reaches two or three rounds,, Shevchenko will have an even bigger advantage because she will have the chanpionship round stamina experience needed to land accurately and to keep up the pressure on Murphy. Champion round fights are a cardio experience. Fight.TV wants to know. Who are you betting on?

  • Meisha Tate - Fight Postponed Due To Covid

The biggest bad news of the year for Meisha Tate. Who had recently started her career again with a resounding victory. Tate proved that she could once again win the title of champion. Meisha Tate's happiness waned when she had to wait until a later date for her showdown against Ketlen Vieira after a positive test of Covid 19. She was very optimistic about it. Sources close to the situation confirmed the news of MMA fighting on Wednesday after the initial report from Sherdog.com. The UFC has not officially announced a card change or a new major event that will now fill the void left by the postponement of Tate vs. Vieira. Tate was originally set to clash with Vieira at the main event in the UFC Fight Nightcard on October 16th. But now the match-up is expected to be postponed to a later date. No time period of the rescheduled match is expected, when and where this match will take place. This is an unfortunate turn of events for Tate, who returned to mixed martial arts in July where she won the third round TKO victory over Marion Reno. This was Tate's first UFC appearance since retiring in 2016. After this victory, Tate wasted no time in booking her next fight against Vieira, which had a five-round event schedule. Although all the signs are pointing to Tate's speedy recovery, she will still not be able to compete on October 16th after testing positive for Covid 19. The question arises as to who will replace Mesha Tate? Will Tate be able to resume her career normally after a bout with Covid? Fight.TV wants to know what you think!
