Chael Sonnen, the former UFC and Bellator star, has settled the legal case related to a reported hotel attack in 2021. According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, Sonnen, 46, entered a no contest plea to a single misdemeanor charge of disturbing the peace and was ordered to pay a $750 fine in Clark County (Nev.) Justice Court. Neither Sonnen nor his criminal lawyer, Dayvid Figler, could be reached for comment. The case stemmed from an alleged incident that occurred at the Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas on Dec. 18, 2021. Sonnen was accused of randomly assaulting a couple and then resisting security guards and hotel staff who tried to stop him. He was not taken into custody by police on the night of the reported incident, but he was charged when the alleged victims filed a civilian complaint. Sonnen initially faced a felony count of battery by strangulation and 10 misdemeanor counts of battery, but prosecutors later dropped four of the misdemeanor charges, and another four were dismissed as part of the plea agreement. According to reports, Sonnen did not have to meet any conditions as part of his plea agreement, and the legal case is now over. This is not the first time that Sonnen has faced legal troubles. In 2011, he pleaded guilty to federal money laundering charges and was sentenced to two years of probation. In 2014, he failed two drug tests and was suspended from MMA for two years. World Boxing Council (WBC) has know informed the Tyson Fury team that he must defend his (WBC) world heavyweight championship with a ranked fighter after he fights Francis Ngannou in october 28th in Riyadh , Saudi Arabia. This prooves he is not that big of a draw. WBC has undergone alot of critizism due to their franchise champions that supposedly are treated differently. Canelo is the clear example of that, he fights and defends with who he wants and when he wants period. Thats Canelo ofcourse, if Fury sold anywhere close to Canelo Álvarez he would surely get same treatment. I believe Fury to be the best heavyweight boxer in the world but I dont like he tactics to getting fights or his unfair negociations. He trully acts like he doesnt want to fight an Usyk, Joshua or even Ruiz. I believe Ruiz is an easy fight for him but it seems he wants the biggest piece of the pie. I agree with Joshua and Ruiz getting 30% but with Usyk which is the most dangerous of them all wants to give him only 30% when he is a champ in 3 major organizations (WBO,WBA,IBF) and Fury only to one (WBC). I believe its unfair even if Usyk isnt a bigger draw than him. Usyk accepted in past negociations but they didnt go through because of the rematch clause Fury didnt want. Fury has lost alot of credibility due to his additude of saying one thing and doing the opposite. We will see shortly were the Fury circus stops but for know the WBC has given him special permission to take his circus to Saudi Arabia with the condition he has to defend his WBC title after the Ngannou fight.

World contender Josh Kelly (13-1-1) will look to take another step toward a title shot at 154 pounds when he faces unbeaten Argentine Gabriel Corzo (18-0) this Saturday in an event by Wasserman Boxing. In this fight, Josh Kelly, an Olympic boxer in 2016, will defend his WBO Super Welterweight international title, which he obtained by beating Argentine Lucas Bastida. The WBO has announced that Teofimo Lopez has 24 hours to inform them if he wishes to retain his title. With a little more than a week away lightheavyweight unified world champion (WBC,WBO,IBF) Artur Beterbiev is at full throttle training for his upcoming fight against the dangerous ex world champion Callum Smith. Artur Beterbiev has successfully defended his IBF title 7 times winning the other world championships in the process. He has a 100% KO ratio , he is currently 38 years old but it seems to just be a number to him because his quality and opposition hasnt declined one bit. I have him as a slight favorite on this fight, but Smith is dangerous and more because he didnt cut much weight for this fight and is really tall and has alot of reach so you never know if he chooses to box and move he can be a problem.
