  • Israel Adesanya: “Francis Ngannou will come back to UFC”

According to Israel Adesanya, the UFC needs to make up to Francis Ngannou and believes that he will eventually return to the UFC. After leaving the UFC, Ngannou joined with the PFL early this year. His PFL debut is anticipated to occur in 2024 as part of the league's pay-per-view debut. The Cameroonian's time in the UFC ended in a shambles. As a result of the promotion's refusal to satisfy his non-financial demands, his relationship with the top brass, most notably UFC President Dana White, deteriorated. One of Ngannou's contract requirements was the right to box while signed to a contract with the UFC. According to Dana White, he was reportedly given the most expensive heavyweight contract in UFC history but declined it to explore the market. One of the greatest names in the UFC right now, Adesanya, believes Ngannou will eventually come back after his current endeavours reach their pinnacle. "I'm proud of him because his story is very unique, even before he was in the UFC," Adesanya said of Ngannou. "The story's not over yet, everybody needs to chill and just watch...everyone wants to be first...this isn't a guy that just quits.” “Dana's said some stuff in the past [about women never fighting in the UFC]...look where we are now! I think he'll do what he does and come back, and then they'll pay him what he deserves, what he's earned, because they f***ed him for a long time."

  • Anderson Silva to have one final MMA Match in Japan

Anderson Silva, a former UFC middleweight champion and 2023 UFC Hall of Fame inductee, will compete in one final mixed martial arts match. Since his defeat against Jake Paul in the boxing ring last year, Silva hasn't competed in any combat sports. He'll probably return for at least one more boxing match shortly, though a specific timetable for his return is still unknown. Since losing to Uriah Hall in October 2020, Silva has not engaged in MMA competition. He lost five of his last six fights inside the Octagon before leaving the UFC, including defeats to Daniel Cormier and Israel Adesanya. In a recent interview, Silva disclosed that he plans for his upcoming—and possibly final—MMA match to take place in Japan. “I’m now focused on these two projects and pretty soon we’ll have something nice regarding fighting,” Silva said. “We’re in talks with Japan for a possible last MMA fight in Japan. It makes all the sense. I started my career internationally there, so we probably want to it end there, too. Let’s see if that happens.” This summer, Silva will join Donald Cerrone, José Aldo, and Jens Pulver in being inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. After a spectacular career in the Octagon, he is now considered to be among the best UFC fighters of all time.

  • Tyson Fury Reveals UFC Offer for Jon Jones 'Hybrid Fight'

In a surprising turn of events, heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury has disclosed that the UFC has sent him an offer for a "hybrid rules fight" against UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones. The ongoing banter between Fury and Jones regarding a potential showdown in boxing, MMA, or a combination of both has garnered attention, prompting UFC President Dana White to publicly express his willingness to facilitate the bout if Fury is genuinely interested. During a live Twitter Space session, Fury confirmed that there have been discussions between him and the UFC, shedding light on the intriguing possibility of a hybrid clash with Jones. "I've been in talks with Francis Ngannou for a hybrid fight. There's talks of me and Jon Jones doing a hybrid fight as we talk, right now. I received an offer from the UFC yesterday, so you never know what's going to happen. The future's bright, for sure, and there's a lot of options out there," Fury revealed. Notably, Fury had previously entertained the idea of facing former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, with discussions centered around either a boxing match or a mixed-rules encounter. It seems Fury has now extended his vision to include Jones, should the reported offer hold. While Fury is contemplating his options across combat sports, he also remains open to significant boxing matches. Highly anticipated showdowns against Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua have yet to materialize, with Fury suggesting that potential opponents are shying away from facing him. "It seems at the moment I'm struggling to get an actual boxing opponent. I think Mauricio Sulaimán, the president of the WBC, did an interview podcast recently and he said, 'Tyson's a victim of his own success. He's that good, people don't want to fight him. They'd rather fight somebody else.' That's what I'm experiencing right now," Fury lamented. Despite tirelessly calling out every heavyweight contender in the top 15 over the past six months, Fury finds himself without a confirmed opponent. As he continues to seek the right challenger in the boxing realm, the allure of potential hybrid encounters with UFC fighters presents an enticing alternative for Fury. As the boxing and MMA worlds eagerly await Fury's decision, the possibilities seem endless. Whether it be a thrilling hybrid clash against Jones, a long-anticipated showdown with Ngannou, or the elusive marquee boxing match against an elite heavyweight, Tyson Fury's journey promises to captivate fans across the combat sports spectrum.

  • Ciryl Gane to face Serghei Spivac at UFC Paris in September

The main event for the next UFC Fight Night event in Paris has been set: Ciryl Gane will compete against fellow top heavyweight contender Serghei Spivac. It was reported earlier this month that a card would take place on September 2, which is nearly a year to the day of the promotion's inaugural event in France last year. This announcement sealed the UFC's return to the French capital. Dana White provided fight fans some happy news by announcing the main events for UFC events in Paris, Singapore, and Nashville when the combat sports world was mostly preoccupied by the sexual assault claims made against Conor McGregor earlier in the day. After losing a heavyweight title match against Francis Ngannou, Gane defeated Tuivasa in his subsequent fight, and after "The Predator" left the UFC earlier this year, the Frenchman was put up against Jon Jones for the vacant heavyweight championship. The former light heavyweight champion submitted "Bon Gamin" in little over two minutes, and now this fight with Spivac is a chance for him to rebound in his native nation. After losing to Tom Aspinall in the first round in 2021, Spivac has now won three straight fights, matching his UFC career's greatest winning run. He will face Gane as the UFC's eighth-ranked heavyweight after his outstanding most recent victory over former heavyweight title contender Derrick Lewis.

  • Zihuatanejo- Its not all sunshine and bikinis. It also has a very currupt boxing comission.

FIGHT.TV and Tanque García promotions have had a few boxing events in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, México were our team has worked with local boxers and giving them a platform to showcase their talent. Last year we paid a sanction for a show but was canceled because of covid so we tried to have it done in november but comissioner Miguel Ponce Terrazas told us that the santion had expired when it didnt even have a year. We checked regulations and the rules say that if there is no event the money is refunded, Tanque García tried to work things out but had no luck so we moved on to another city making the show more expensive do to travel expences of production team and fighters. We took things into our own hands and on thursday we sued the Zihuatanejo boxing comission. Gabriel Tanque García partner of ours is going to handle the lawsuit. We just hope justice is served. This man Miguel Ponce Terrazas is known in town for taking advantage of young fighters and taking money from their fight purses. We have tried to tell local authorities of Ponce's illegal practices but have had no luck. It seems the local authorities dont care. Its sad to see that because there is alot of boxing talent in Zihuatanejo for it to go to waste or for Miguel Ponce Terrazas to abuse. Its sad that the city doesnt care that this man represents their boxing comission.

  • Eddie Hearn not sure Whyte vs Joshua will take place due to Whyte's massive pay demands

Eddie Hearn, Anthony Joshua's promoter and former heavyweight champion, does not think he will be able to pay Dillian Whyte the amount demanded for a potential rematch. Joshua won by knockout in seven rounds during their first encounter in 2015. The two boxers were seriously considering having a rematch in 2019. According to Hearn and Joshua, Whyte's excessive demands for payment caused the negotiations to break down. Joshua's return in August is a planned springboard for a potential showdown with former WBC champion Deontay Wilder on a December date in Saudi Arabia. “So we spoke last night to [Whyte's] team and this morning," Hearn told IFL TV. "We made an offer, and they felt that offer was unacceptable. We may be too far out on the money to make that fight. We’re looking at two other opponents for August 12. The key for us, if we can’t make the Deontay Wilder fight it’s not that it has to be Dillian. AJ wants it, that’s the fight AJ wanted." "If we’ve got the Wilder fight done, we can fight someone else from the top 15 on August 12. We still want a decent, proper fight to prepare yourself for Deontay Wilder. But if we can’t get the Wilder fight done, then we need a much bigger fight on August 12, or we look at Tyson Fury in September. "But I believe, and Frank spoke to the guys at Skills Challenge last night, that we’re going to get that fight made with Wilder. “So once we do that August 12th, if we can’t make a Dillian Whyte fight, then we take someone else in the top 15. AJ’s desire is to fight Dillian Whyte." Although Joshua and Hearn would want to face Whyte in August, Hearn acknowledges that there isn't much time left to book the bout and isn't certain of getting a deal with Whyte on the money.

  • Cory Sandhagen vs. Umar Nurmagomedov set for UFC Nashville

The UFC's bantamweight category is frequently referred to be the best one they have to offer, and this is partly due to the rising prospects and potential competitors. Umar Nurmagomedov might be the wolf pack's leader. With four victories inside the Octagon, the Dagestani, a cousin of the legendary Khabib Nurmagomedov, has increased his perfect professional record to 16-0. Nurmagomedov struggled to identify his next opponent, despite the fact that those outcomes allowed him to move up to position #11 on the 135-pound ladder. The 27-year-old, though, now has a target on his back. The long-rumored matchup between Nurmagomedov and former interim title challenger Cory Sandhagen (16-4) has been officially announced as the main event for the UFC's return to Nashville on August 5. The fight will provide the Russian a great chance to go up to the top five right away, but the #4-ranked Sandhagen may find it unexpected. The native of Colorado recently defeated two opponents who were ranked higher than Nurmagomedov in two bouts.

  • This is crazy! Canelo is becoming the clown of boxing.

I dont know what to say, today a woke up with the news that Canelo might fight Badou Jack in Saudi Arabia for the cruiserweight WBC world title and now I see a post in Facebook that Canelos rival might be Jermall Charlo in 168lbs. This is crazy! Thats why alot of people dont believe in Canelo. If he fights Charlo there will be alot more critics against Canelo because he is going to fight a middleweight champ thats been out for 2 years with a supposed back injury, Charlo will not be at a 100% there will be alot of ring rust and he is surely going to take the loss, all for a big pay day$$$$. I usually dont hate on Canelo but this is the worst thing he can do. First it was Bivol or Benavides and now Jack or Charlo. With Badou Jack Canelo is at risk , people forget Jack is a 3x champ, a 3 division world champion so he is no joke. He has power and the experience to upset Canelo, but in fighting an injured rusty Charlo is not good for his carreer, he really has nothing to gain. Meanwhile nothing is sure in this Canelo soap opera and all he is doing is losing credibility amongst fans worldwide. Now Canelo es doing these dum moves just like Tyson Fury. I thought Fury was a clown , but it looks like Canelo wants his spot.

  • 'Tommy Fury vs KSI very close to getting done'

A deal for a grudge match with YouTuber turned boxer KSI is reportedly extremely close, according to Tommy Fury's father and trainer John Fury. Fury is an undefeated light heavyweight prospect. Fury watched KSI's match against unbeaten professional Joe Fournier last month from the stands. KSI was first given credit for a knockout victory in the second round, but the result was later reversed and modified to a no-contest after many replays revealed that Fournier was eliminated by an unlawful elbow strike. Following the conclusion of the contest, Fury and KSI squared up in the ring. Before the interaction turned physical and they were soon removed, the two engaged in a heated verbal exchange. Fury Sr. has been in communication with KSI promoter Kalle Sauerland. Tommy Fury first competed in February, defeating Jake Paul, another social media personality who took up boxing, in an eight-round decision. Paul originally intended to activate a clause that allowed for an instant rematch, but instead, he agreed to a bout with MMA champion Nate Diaz for August 5. "Well, we're nearly over the line with that one I think,' said Fury Sr. to Seconds Out. "Me and the Sauerlands, we're nearly over the line with it. I think it'll be announced very shortly. 'Until it's signed off, nothing's done, is it? But I'm happy, we're nearly there. We'll hopefully get it on this year with him and KSI." KSI - real name Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji - confirmed that his team is currently negotiating the fight with Fury. "I am training for that fight. Negotiations are going back and forth, we're just waiting on Tommy [Fury] essentially,' KSI told Misfits Boxing. 'I'm training, I'm getting ready for that fight, that's what I want. Because I know as soon as I beat Tommy Fury, Jake Paul's whole career, his whole legacy's in the bin, and I will be laughing."

  • Breaking: Conor Mcgregor accused of sexually assaulting a woman

Conor McGregor has refuted a claim that he sexually abused a woman while watching Miami Heat vs. Denver Nuggets' NBA Playoff game last weekend. The UFC superstar participated in a viral stunt with a mascot during a break in play by punching the costumed figure. He was in Miami for game four of the playoffs. Ariel Mitchell, an attorney, reportedly wrote demand letters this week and submitted them to McGregor, Miami Heat management, and the NBA, according to TMZ Sports. McGregor, who is presently getting ready for his UFC comeback, recently moved from Miami to New York, where he has been making appearances on talk shows to advertise his new Netflix series and the reality competition The Ultimate Fighter. McGregor's attorney Barbara R. Llanes released a statement to Mirror Fighting this evening that read "The allegations are false. Mr. McGregor will not be intimidated.” McGregor, a former lightweight and featherweight world champion, is arguably the most well-known athlete in UFC history. He hasn't competed since breaking his leg in a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier in July 2021, but he's committed to taking on Michael Chandler at the end of this year. McGregor recently announced that he and fiancee Dee Devlin are expecting their fourth child during an appearance on the Kelly and Mark show. "Things are going well. We've also got another on the way. There's a lot going on. A couple more weeks and we'll be able to find out what the sex is of the baby. We are very excited back home," he said.
