- Dana White on PFL Buying Bellator: "Both are failed companies"
Dana White has offered his opinion on the ongoing rumors that the PFL MMA is trying to acquire Bellator MMA. Recently, there has been a lot of speculation that Bellator, which is owned by the US-based media company Paramount Global, may change hands. Bellator MMA was reportedly put on the market earlier this year, with its existing owners searching for new purchasers. The Todd Atkins Show recently revealed that PFL, owned by American entrepreneur Donn Davis, is on the verge of acquiring Bellator. UFC president Dana White laughed off rumors that PFL was buying Bellator during the post-fight news conference for UFC Vegas 73 White said that PFL and Bellator are both unsuccessful businesses. "I'm hearing that they [PFL] are raising money right now, you know, 280 million, 300 million -- I don't know what the number is -- from the Middle East. And I've done a lot of business in the Middle East. Those guys are sharp." "I don't know who in the hell would give them [PFL] 280 million dollars because I'm hearing they're buying Bellator. Right? So, you're an organization that's burning cash, you have no ratings, and selling no tickets. And you're gonna raise 280 million to buy a company that's burning cash, sells no tickets, and does no ratings. Sounds f**king absolutely genius to me." Do you think Dana White is right? - POSSIBLE ELIMINATOR BOUT, WINNER GETS CANELO
Teams Canelo , Morrel and Benavides have been in talks just in casé the Bivol v.s Canelo rematch does become official, there will be an eliminator bout between Morrel and Benavides. The winner gets ofcourse the big payday in a fight with Canelo. If Canelo were to win ofcourse to see who the best 168 pounder really is. Both are champions, Morrel being the WBA champ and Benavides the WBC intrim champ. Both are young and at the top of their game and at the top of the supermiddleweight división. Both are very dangerous but Benavides has a much better resume having fought better opposition. Things will really get complicated if Canelo v.s Bivol goes at 168lbs. Bivol has said many times that if he gives Canelo the rematch it would be at 168lbs so he can have all the belts. He said that in 168lbs it would be a motivation given the fact that he believes the rematch would be easier and that would be the only reason he would be interested in giving Canelo the rematch, to be undisputed 168lbs champion. We will have to wait and see how things turn out in these couple of weeks. Personally I'd rather see Canelo fight Benavides because I believe it would be an epic war. If Canelo v.s Bivol happends I see Bivol winning easier this time out. Remember ladies and gents this is boxing and anything can happen.

- Aljamain Sterling blasts Dana White for criticizing him
Aljamain Sterling responded to Dana White on his podcast, The Weekly Scraps. On episode 232 of his podcast, which he uploaded to his official YouTube page, the UFC bantamweight champion responded to UFC President Dana White. At the UFC Vegas 73 post-fight news conference, White was questioned about Sterling's upcoming fight. Prior to the fight's announcement, Sterling had previously said that he would need some time to recover before taking on Sean O'Malley in August. To this, Dana White said that the bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling was "one of those guys who can’t get out of his way," alluding to the notion that Sterling had initially tried to postpone the bout. Sterling replied to these comments on his podcast, saying: “Like, what does that even mean? Just clarify what that even means. If you’re going to say that because of me saying, yeah, I’m fighting, but I’m also banged up and I want to see how my body [feels], there has never been a fight that was scheduled where people signed the contract — and remember, contracts are just a formality. No one is going to sign a contract and just not show up in the UFC. That just doesn’t happen, so let’s stop pretending that’s a thing. I agreed to the fight, I agreed to the T.J. fight — if you want to ask Dana, ask Dana when I signed the T.J. contract, you guys are going to be wildly surprised. When I say I’m going to show up, I f****** show up and I fight. If we make a deal, I’m a man of my word. I show up and compete every single time. I do what champions do.” Don't play with my name bro. If we're gonna do this together let's get on the same page let's do this. The main event of UFC 292 in Boston will see Aljamain Sterling defending his bantamweight title against Sean O'Malley, according to the organisation. After narrowly overcoming Henry Cejudo in a split decision, Sterling is very busy and plans to make his second defence in just four months.
- Who Will Emerge Victorious in the $2 Million Francis Ngannou Sweepstakes? The Desire of a Former UFC
Francis Ngannou's successful deal with the PFL has sparked inspiration among numerous MMA fighters. While many publicly lauded the 'Predator' for achieving his desired terms in the new contract, others also viewed it as an opportunity to earn a shot at Ngannou himself. Ngannou's deal not only benefits him personally but also serves as an enticing prospect for his next opponent, who stands to receive a hefty $2 million payout. So, who is eager to step up for that significant payday? One athlete who has shown interest is former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos. In an interview on MMA Fighting's podcast Trocacao Franca, 'Cigano' spoke highly of Francis Ngannou's new contract. He expressed admiration for what the Predator had accomplished and emphasized the importance of professional fighters working together to secure greater benefits in future deals. Dos Santos stated, "Ngannou's actions are admirable because they stem from a person with unwavering values who won't compromise them for trivial rewards. Why has something like this never happened before? Because people prioritize their own gains, saying, 'I'll get something for myself and forget the rest.' But it doesn't feel that way with Francis Ngannou. It feels like he genuinely wants to make a difference." "MMA fighters and martial artists, in general, are thrilled to hear what he's saying," dos Santos continued. "To witness him opening new doors and shattering long-standing barriers without any hesitation—this is truly remarkable." Furthermore, Junior dos Santos entertains the idea of a boxing match against Ngannou. Although Francis Ngannou has signed with the Professional Fighters League, his contract permits him to participate in boxing matches concurrently. Dos Santos believes it would make for an exceptional spectacle if they were to meet again, this time in the boxing ring. Having previously faced Ngannou in the UFC and suffering a TKO loss in 2019, the Brazilian fighter is fully available for a rematch, this time in the realm of boxing. However, he would not dismiss the possibility of a regular MMA fight in the PFL, especially considering the financial reward. "If he needs me, I can be his first opponent to test himself in boxing," Cigano stated. "I'm completely in," he chuckled, responding to Ngannou's demand that no fighter in the PFL should be paid less than $2 million. "That truly reflects his values. He seeks change and understands that altering the system solely for himself serves no purpose. It must be a collective effort to improve things for both promoters and ensure that fighters receive the support and special attention they require." It's worth noting that Junior dos Santos has encountered a challenging phase in his MMA career, having not won a fight in the past four years. Since a TKO loss to Yorgan de Castro in May 2022, he has suffered five consecutive knockout defeats against Castro, Ciryl Gane, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Curtis Blaydes, and Francis Ngannou. His last victory came in March 2019 when he knocked out Derrick Lewis. In contrast, Francis Ngannou is currently on a six-fight winning streak, securing victories against Ciryl Gane, Stipe Miocic, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Junior dos Santos, Cain Velasquez, and Curtis Blaydes. His last loss occurred in July 2018 when he fell to Derrick Lewis via unanimous decision at UFC 226. As of now, the Predator has yet to announce a date or opponent for his PFL debut.
- Shakur Stevenson thinks he should fight Lomachenko next for the undisputed titles
Shakur Stevenson is certain who truly deserves to be referred to as the lightweight division's unquestioned champion. At the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on last Saturday night, Devin Haney defeated Ukraine's Vasiliy Lomachenko by unanimous decision to retain his four 135-pound belts. Haney, 24, held off a second-half charge from Lomachenko, 35, to maintain his unblemished record of 30 victories (15 via knockout). There was a mixed response from the public, with some onlookers and supporters claiming that Lomachenko deserved to have his hands raised. That seems to be Stevenson's viewpoint as well. The skilled southpaw from Newark, New Jersey, entered the ring right after the contest and told ESPN's Bernardo Osuna that he thought Lomachenko "won that fight." Stevenson had anticipated that Haney would essentially dominate Lomachenko before the fight on Saturday. “Lomachenko should be undisputed champion here, he won,” Stevenson said. “He won that fight. He landed the cleaner punches. He landed the cleaner shots on Dev, and he pushed the pace.” A future fight between Haney or Lomachenko and Stevenson, a two-division champion who made his lightweight debut earlier this year, may be a foregone conclusion. Given that all three competitors have Top Rank as their promoter, the scenario is plausible. Haney, though, has made it known that he wants to compete at 140 as soon as possible. He intimated as much on his social media, saying that a fight with Lomachenko, rather than Haney, should be for “all the belts.” “I would love that fight (with Lomachenko) too[. H]onestly feel it should be me vs him for undisputed,” Stevenson wrote on his Twitter account. Stevenson then followed up with another tweet: “If Dev don’t stay at 35 and fight me I would love that fight (with Lomachenko) to show y’all I’m the truth.”
- Do you know about Dave Moretti? That created a lot of buzz in the Devin Haney fight
Dave Moretti, a seasoned boxing judge from the United States, has been actively scoring fights since 1977. With a wealth of experience in the field, Moretti has presided over the scoring of over 90 world title fights throughout his career. However, his recent performance as a judge in the Devin Haney vs. Vasiliy Lomachenko bout has garnered widespread attention and criticism from boxing enthusiasts across the globe. The clash between Devin Haney and Vasiliy Lomachenko took place last night at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. This highly anticipated showdown for the undisputed lightweight championship proved to be much more closely contested than anticipated. Despite Lomachenko entering the ring as the underdog, he displayed superior skills and emerged as the stronger fighter. In a surprising outcome that left the boxing world astounded, Devin Haney managed to retain his undisputed lightweight championship through a unanimous decision (115-113, 115-113, 116-112). However, it was not the overall scorecards that drew the most mockery from boxing fans. One particular point of contention revolves around Dave Moretti, who served as one of the judges for the bout. Moretti awarded the 10th round to Devin Haney, despite the round being completely dominated by Vasiliy Lomachenko from beginning to end. Furthermore, it stood out as one of the most one-sided rounds throughout the entire fight for either competitor.
- Dana White Teases Rematch: Alexa Grasso vs. Valentina Shevchenko for UFC Women's Flyweight Title
In a shocking change of events, Alexa Grasso's submission of long-reigning champion Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 285 stunned the mixed martial arts community. UFC president Dana White was evasive regarding a potential rematch right after the fight. White appears to have changed his mind, though. During a post-fight news conference at UFC Fight Night 224, White revealed that the promotion is planning to book a rematch between Grasso and Shevchenko as the next UFC women's flyweight title fight. When asked by reporters if the fight was next, White replied: "We're working on that, too. That's one of the fights we're definitely working on right now." While no specific timeline or location has been disclosed for the rematch, the prospect of Grasso and Shevchenko going head-to-head once again is enough to ignite the excitement of fans and pundits alike. Grasso, with a record of 16-3, dethroned Shevchenko in the fourth round of their March 4 title bout. Her victory was particularly impressive considering she entered the fight as an underdog. The win not only secured Grasso the UFC women's flyweight championship but also extended her winning streak. More significantly, she became the first fighter in ten matches to defeat Shevchenko, who had been dominating the division since December 2018. Grasso's impressive performance showcased her resilience, skill, and determination, establishing her as a true force to be reckoned with in the flyweight division. However, Grasso will face a formidable challenge in Shevchenko, who is widely regarded as one of the most dominant champions in the sport. Shevchenko has consistently displayed her exceptional striking, technical precision, and well-rounded skill set. With a record of 21-4 in MMA and an astonishing 10-1 in the UFC, she will undoubtedly be seeking redemption in the rematch against Grasso. While the rematch between Grasso and Shevchenko is undoubtedly a highly anticipated fight, it's worth noting that other top contenders in the flyweight division are waiting in the wings. Manon Fiorot, Taila Santos, and Erin Blanchfield are all within striking distance of a title shot and are currently unbooked. Their performances in upcoming bouts could potentially affect the title picture and add further intrigue to the division. As fight fans eagerly await further details about the rematch, the anticipation continues to build. Stay tuned for updates on the highly anticipated rematch between Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko, a fight that will determine the fate of the UFC women's flyweight title and potentially reshape the landscape of the division.

- SHAKUR STEVENSON: Is he the dark horse in the lightweight división?
After beating Óscar Valdez and taking his súperfeatherweight title, Stevenson moved up to the very dangerous and talent filled lightweight división. Many believe he is the future of the sport having that very special talent many of us have seen. What makes him more special is that he makes top fighters look easy. There are rumors of potencial fights against Pitbull Cruz and many others but nothing official yet. I believe he is the dark horse in the lightweight división and I believe he beats them all. I look at him like a southpaw Floyd Mayweather. Only time will tell me if im right about this young champion.
- WE MAY GET THE WAR WE'VE BEEN ASKING FOR!!!
It was made public by both teams that there are negociations between Eddy Reynoso (Team Canelo) and Sampson Lewkowics (Team Benavides) on a potencial clash between the two if the Bivol rematch doesnt happen. Im actually more exited for this fight than the Bivol rematch. I like most experts believe Bivol would win rematch alot easier this time around so there is not much interest for Bivol v.s Alvarez 2, now Alvarez v.s Benavides would be a different story. This fight would really show who the best 168 pounder in the word is. If we go to the stats then Canelo would be a clear favorite to win just by looking at his resume, but Benavides is a really big guy with fast hand speed and good combinations and is much younger than the superstar Canelo. On the other hand Canelo has an advantage in the power department and Benavides is a fighter that stands up strait and could get hit, we saw it very clear when Benavides fought Plant in his last fight. Its an even fight from my perspective, If this fight does come through we are in for a real treat ladies and gents.
- Boxing and MMA pros not happy with decision in Haney vs Lomachenko
On Saturday night, Devin Haney defeated Vasiliy Lomachenko, but he may need more work to prevail in the eyes of the general people. Haney (30-0, 15 KOs) defeated Vasiliy Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) by unanimous decision to maintain both his undisputed lightweight champion title and his perfect record. It was close the entire time, but Haney won with scores of 116-112, 115-113, and 115-113. There was early scepticism over the scoring, as is typical with high-stakes boxing matches involving equally matched fighters, and several well-known figures commented on social media to cast doubt on the judging. Combat sports personality Dillon Danis stated plainly that “Lomachenko was robbed,” while Bellator commentator Josh Thomson took the criticism a step further, writing that “This is why people don’t watch boxing anymore.” Many others also spoke out in support of Lomachenko as they voiced their criticism of the judgment. Do you agree with the decision? Comment and let us know.
