In an electrifying debut at PFL 2, Alex Polizzi is set to face off against none other than Impa Kasanganay, the reigning light heavyweight champion, promising a showdown filled with surprises and excitement.
Polizzi, with a record of 10 wins and 3 losses, understands the magnitude of his first regular-season fight in the PFL, especially against such a formidable opponent. However, he remains undaunted, embracing the role of the dark horse and expressing his enthusiasm to showcase his skills.
Speaking to reporters at Xtreme Couture, Polizzi exuded confidence, stating,
“We got the dark horse seed. It’s a chance for me to go in, my debut in the PFL, to show them what ‘Easy Polizzi’ is all about. Whether we win, lose, or draw, like I always say, it’s going to be a good time.”
Despite facing a setback with consecutive losses to Yoel Romero and Karl Moore, Polizzi is determined to bounce back and deliver an entertaining performance. Known for his finishing prowess, with eight of his ten wins coming by way of finish, Polizzi promises to bring a unique blend of organized chaos to the Octagon.
“I’m always bringing a certain amount of organized chaos,” Polizzi remarked. “So make sure you’re tuning in because I’m going to do some weird stuff. I’m going to have a lot of fun doing it, and like I say all the time, if you guys are having half as much fun watching me as I’m getting out of it, that’s worth the price of admission.”
With Polizzi's determination to play spoiler against Kasanganay and his commitment to delivering an entertaining fight, fans can expect fireworks when these two light heavyweight contenders collide at PFL 2.
