KSI returns to the boxing ring on Saturday, taking on fellow Youtuber FaZe Temper live on DAZN from London's OVO Arena, Wembley. The Nightmare will take place on January 14. KSI, who made history by defeating Luis Alcaraz Pineda and Swarmz in "Two Fights, One Night" in the first MF & DAZN: X Series 001 event back in August 2021. Arjan Bhullar and Anatoly "Sladkiy" Malykhin will square off in a unification showdown in March, according to a big announcement from ONE Championship. At ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24, Bhullar versus Malykhin will finally square off for the undisputed ONE heavyweight world championship at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore. Former Olympic wrestler Bhullar won the ONE Heavyweight World Title in May 2021 when he defeated Brandon Vera, the longstanding champion of the division, through second-round TKO. In the end, "Singh" increased his overall record to 11-1 and became the very first Indian MMA World Champion. The UFC heavyweight champ, Francis Ngannou has started a new wave of uncertainty regarding his future as he hints at a move away from the promotion. Francis, 36, is undoubtedly one of the scariest men to face in the octagon. The Cameroonian won the championship back in 2021 where he thudded Stipe Miocic to get his hands on the gold for the first time in his career. Ngannou has defended the strap only once in the octagon which came against his former sparring partner Ciryl Gane at UFC 270. Ever since, there have been numerous speculations made regarding Ngannou’s future in the company. The Predator has been involved in a rift with the UFC president Dana White regarding his contract, with the heavyweight giant demanding a rise in the toll for his services in the octagon. Ngannou even worked for a cross-boxing match with the WBC champ, Tyson Furry but that idea didn’t unfold, unfortunately. But it seems like he might have a luxurious deal on his hand this time around as he posted a picture with his family, giving an inconspicuous message to the MMA family. In December 2022, it was notified that the Predator has entered the free market agency as he and the UFC have yet to reach any agreement. Ngannou himself proclaimed that his “second chapter” was about to begin. His fresh social media post gives a clue to it where this thing is heading. He was seen dining with the family members. Among the seated, one of the particulates was seen wearing a PFL t-shirt which left fans wondering whether Ngannou is actually making a move to the Professional Fighters league. Cain Velasquez is the'scariest' fighter in MMA history, according to Chael Sonnen. After winning the UFC heavyweight title twice, Velasquez left the sport in October 2019 to pursue a career in professional wrestling. He finished his professional MMA career with a 14-3 record. In Sonnen's opinion, Velasquez was so terrifying not just because of his fighting style and his determination, but also because of the rumours and legends that would spread about him in the MMA scene. “The scariest fighter in MMA history: I had, with a pretty sizable gap, Cain Velasquez,” Sonnen said on his podcast. “He had the whole bit: He had the look, he had the eyes, he had the jawline, the stoicness, the rumors and reputation, the work ethic. We don’t see that very often, not that level, not where they can be on you that hard, non-stop.” Following an alleged 11-mile high-speed chase in February while chasing a car, Velasquez is currently facing a number of charges. Velasquez is accused of pursuing the car while erratically shooting his.40 calibre weapon. After being detained for several months Velasquez was eventually taken into custody. He is due back in court on March 8 and, if proven guilty, may spend the rest of his life behind bars.

UFC legend Tony Ferguson has offered to coach YouTube boxer Jake Paul before his anticipated MMA debut. Paul recently joined the PFL and is anticipated to make his MMA debut in the new Super Fight division, which will host two pay-per-view events in 2023. Nicholson appeared to connect with a body shot on Andrade that sent him to the canvas early in round five, nearly changing the tide. Referee Malik Waleed, however, ruled the sequence a slip before Andrade rose to his feet to win the round. “The only way I can say I’m the best is by fighting the best,” said Andrade. “Everyone knows that Demond Nicholson is a dog. That’s why we took this fight. He took this fight because he knew I was coming up and he definitely has the animal in him. He showed it today.” Andrade's accuracy and volume proved decisive, as he connected at 45% of his attempts, out-landing Nicholson 145 to 28. Andrade capped off his dominance with a knockdown in the final round, landing a flawless counter that forced Nicholson's glove to land on the mat. Nicholson made it to the final bell, but Andrade won convincingly. "We're going to look to see who's available at 168 pounds,” said Andrade. “I'm just going to get stronger, sharper and faster."

After beating a tough Hector Luis Garcia Tank has set his sights on what could be the biggest boxing fight in 2023. But Gervonta Davis revealed early Sunday morning that the deal for his pay-per-view match against Ryan Garcia is still being worked out. During a post-fight press conference at Capital One Arena, the undefeated knockout artist admitted that Garcia hasn't agreed to all terms for a 12-round, 136-pound fight that is expected to take place this spring. Davis, 28, and Garcia, 24, announced on their social media platforms on November 17 that "the deal is done" for them to fight in Las Vegas in 2023. “If it’s up to me, Ryan’s definitely next,” Davis said. “We somewhat got everything, you know what I mean, going in the right direction. So, we just waiting for Ryan to accept on his side, and let’s get the job done.” Davis' revelation was somewhat surprising, given that both boxers have previously stated that the only thing that could have prevented them from fighting next was Hector Luis Garcia defeating Davis in their Showtime Pay-Per-View main event on Saturday night. Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) of Baltimore stopped Garcia (16-1, 10 KOs, 3 NC) when a disoriented Garcia refused to leave his corner at the start of the ninth round. When asked specifically what was left to negotiate with Ryan Garcia's team during the press conference, Davis replied, "He agreed with everything," which contradicted his previous statement. Nonetheless, Davis did not appear to believe that whatever is left to settle on Garcia's side will prevent their long-delayed fight from taking place. The fight between Davis and Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs), who sold out another arena on Saturday night in his victory against Luis Garcia, is considered one of the most marketable boxing matches because they feature two of the sport's most popular stars.

Khabib Nurmagomedov, the legendary former UFC champion, will retire from MMA more than two years after his surprise retirement. Following the passing of his father and mentor, Abdulmanap, Khabib made the decision to stop competing at a perfect 29-0 record after winning, and defending the UFC lightweight championship. Even though he was no longer participating, Khabib still managed to stay active in the sport by running his own Eagle FC MMA organisation and continuing his father's legacy by mentoring other Dagestani fighters, including the current lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. According to rumours, the former champion has made the decision to entirely retire from the MMA scene, which includes his roles as a coach and a promoter. Khabib is reportedly considering selling Eagle FC to other parties after the team's attempt to establish itself in the western hemisphere seemed to fail. Additionally, it is said that he will transfer the coaching responsibilities for those who are under his instruction, thereby ceasing to be an active participant in the sport.

On Saturday, ONE Championship atomweight champion Angela Lee revealed the passing of her younger sister, ONE strawweight veteran Victoria Lee. Following an Instagram post made on Saturday by her older sister, Angela Lee, Lee passed away on December 26. The nature of the death has not been disclosed, but a ONE Championship PR representative indicated the organization was preparing a release. In the history of ONE, the last name "Lee" has significant significance. As two of the top superstars in the promotion, Angela and her brother Christian Lee have captured titles. Victoria was predicted to take in their siblings' footsteps subsequently. Victoria Lee, a promising prospect in the MMA world, wrestled in their native Hawaii and participated in pankration before following her older sister into the professional realm of MMA. In the second round of her ONE debut in February 2021, she defeated Sunisa Srisan. She defeated every rival she faced while competing under the ONE brand, compiling a 3-0 record. She last competed in September 2021, defeating Victoria Souza via TKO. Victoria was slated to take part in her fourth MMA bout on January 14th, 2023, at ONE on Prime Video 6. All three of the siblings in the ONE Championship are managed by their father Ken Lee. He was approached immediately after the news broke out, but he was not available for a short brief. Angela Lee told Brendan Schaub that gold was already in her sister's destiny, predicting that her younger sister will outperform her achievements in the cage. Victoria Lee stated that her sister and brother were her major inspirations. Bryce Mitchell claims that even after suffering from the flu, he opted to fight Ilia Topuria because of his financial conditions. Movsar Evloev was expected to face Mitchell in the main event at UFC Fight Night 214 on Nov. 5, however, he was compelled to withdraw because of an injury. A month later, Mitchell was given the chance to fight Ilia Topuria and he consented. In the main card opening game of UFC 282, Mitchell met Topuria in a crucial featherweight match, and everything does not go as planned for "Thug Nasty." Topuria dominated the fight from the beginning and trampled Mitchell to death in the third round with an arm-triangle choke. In an interview with ESPN on Thursday, Mitchell explained why he agreed to the battle in the first place. Mitchell said that the flu he had the week before the fight contributed to his bad performance. However, it turns out that Mitchell's alleged motivations for battling were more significant. Due to financial difficulties, he was effectively coerced into accepting the fight. “I had a lot of circumstances going on. People don’t really see the stuff that the fighter is contemplating before the fight, what the factors are, this and that. I just don’t think I was at my best.” “Honestly, I had a couple thousand bucks in my bank account, and they told me that, ‘If you don’t take this fight, we’re not finding you one until February We’re booked.’ So it’s like, you can live off a couple thousand bucks in your bank, or you can fight December 10, and if not, f*** off until February. So I said, you know what, I don’t want to live off a couple thousand bucks until February, and I would’ve made it. I could have scrapped by and maybe I should have, but at the time, I thought I’d win the fight. I thought I was going in there with the flu to kick somebody’s ass anyway. And that just wasn’t the case. I was not capable of kicking ass that night.” Mitchell is certainly not the only fighter who finds competing to be a challenging means of making ends meet; the issue of fighter wage has gotten more and more widespread in the MMA world in recent times. Mitchell said he has no issues with the UFC's salary despite what occurred. In this interview, Mitchell continued by saying that despite coming into the bout with the sickness, he had complete faith in his ability to win. Then tiredness started to creep in. “Maybe I should have, but at the time, I thought I’d win the fight, brother. I thought I was going in there with the flu to kick somebody’s ass, anyways. That just wasn’t the case. I was not capable of kicking ass that night. I was capable of taking an ass-kicking, and I did do that pretty well. “If I would’ve known how shitty I would’ve felt walking in that cage… and I’m not talking, like, scared, I’m talking, like, when I was throwing punches, they weren’t hard. I was gasping for air. But I felt very comfortable in there. “The whole time going into the fight, I thought, ‘yeah, I’m kick this guy’s ass.’ But I just wasn’t there.” Mitchell was observed thinking about retiring in front of his coaches in the locker room just after the defeat. Mitchell acknowledges that it was simply done in a hurry. Even though that money was the primary motivator, he was lured into the cage for a few other motives as well. Despite being ill, he wished to attend to demonstrate that he is not a bitch. Another factor is the concern over what would happen if he was unable to participate in the fight in February. Mitchell’s record now stands at 15-1.
