  • Joaquin Buckley vs Antonio Arroyo recap

Joaquin Buckley knows exactly how to fight for a good highlight reel. Buckley rose to prominence when he presented a jaw-dropping knockout in his fight against Impa Kasanganay in October 2020. Buckley, who lost his last match to Alessio de Cherico, needed a big performance to remind fans of his fight and in the middleweight division, as Buckley entered UFC Vegas 37 on Saturday night. This is where he encountered Antonio Arroyo, but with a combination of punches Buckley ended it with an upper cut that knocked Arroyo down. The hurdle came in the third round at 2:26 when Buckley won by TKO. As the fight entered the third round, Buckley kept swinging with bad intentions and throwing with a much larger volume than Arroyo, who was apparently looking for a better shot. Buckley released a huge hook that made Arroyo look shaky from time to time, and Buckley went for the kill when he threw an upper cut that eventually ended the contest. Once Arroyo fell on the canvas, the fight was immediately stopped as the ref called the fight and Buckley began celebrating his third UFC victory. The 27-year-old won the Performance of the Night Bonus for his viral knockout. "It was a beautiful fight between me and Antonio," Buckley said, paying tribute to his opponent. "I was just swinging, I was just throwing." Now the question is, who should Buckley fight next? FIGHT.TV wants to know!

The match between Bennett and Lara starts brilliantly and Lara (9-5 MMA, 3-4 BMA) comes in the opening round with kicks and punches, putting pressure on Bennett, who Maintained and did enough to defend it. • Bellator 266 : Neiman Gracie vs Mark Lemminger

Saturday night was arguably the bloodiest and most action-packed night of the century, with two events, UFC Vegas and Bellator 266, in full swing each match of the two events was brutal. Gracie (11-2 MMA, 9-2 BMA) defeated Mark Leminger (12-4 MMA, 2-3 BMA) No time wasted in finishing round 1 with a stoppage at 1:27. To win the first TKO of his professional MMA career. Nieman Gracie is the last name to be known for grappling power, yet his hands were on full display on Saturday at Bellator 266. Gracie was aggressive while Lemminger circled backwards. Gracie hit Leminger with an overhand, which pushed his opponent back, but it was an upper cut that really started Lemminger's downfall. With the win, Gracie recreated the victory column in April after losing a unanimous decision against Jason Jackson in Bellator 255. During his last four fights, Gracie is 2-2. • Brendan O'Reilly and Braxton McCoy Talk Fights

I was scrolling twitter yesterday and saw these two hosting a chat room over UFC Fight Night. Joined it and they were talking about what impacts a fighter in nature vs nurture. Talking not so much about if a rough or healthy upbringing results in a better fighter, but the variables in how they handle a career in combat sports and there after. It got me thinking. Let's talk about some fighters, a good example would be Mike Tyson for nature. Mike didn't have an easy life growing up. His dad left his life when he was 2. By 12 he was in a gang and had been in trouble as a juvenile. Lost his mom as a young teen. Then he went on within a few years to become the youngest heavyweight champion boxer ever in his time. Muhammad Ali grew up in segregation and racial oppression heavily influenced his world views, he took up boxing as a positive outlet. Manny Pacquiao came from poverty. It would seem that some of the best fighters in the world were pushed there by nature. As if by the time they were grown, it was in their nature to fight. Then you have to consider those who are great fighters but faced little adversity. Writing this article isn't very easy though because the more we look into some of the best fighters. We find some type of adversity in their life. To give an example of a fighter without much adversity doesn't sound fair. Brendan O'Reilly is a 6-3 pro fighter in the UFC, he said he had a great loving upbringing. Fight.TV wants to know, do you think it's nature or nurture?

  • Khabib Changed The Game On When To Retire

A lot of fighters have spoken their mind on Khabib leaving the sport. Many, like Jose Aldo have suggested that Nurmagomedov will regret retiring when he did. That he will question if he could have been the greatest of all time. Many fighters and fight fans share this sentiment but consider also watching an almost 60 year old Holyfield display the competitive action of an old man, beyond what we should not only pay to see but ethically condone in combat sports. Khabib left combat sports competitively for multiple reasons. The death of his father and the thought of competing without him in Khabib's corner for the first time. The promise to his mother that he would prioritize his own health and preservation to lead their family. It's a lot more than those who say he's just scared to lose. Combat sports is incredibly dangerous and after the years it takes a toll on your body like no other, even for just the hobbyists who don't treat it like a career. Khabib like any good fighter is great at hiding their pain and injury, not allowing an opponent to question for one second their weakness. Fighters are human, you don't become a champion fighter without sustaining some injury and boxers are well known to develop head injury related diseases in their later years. Maybe achieving the title of champion and humbly stepping down to train the next champion and be a promoter, comentator, full realm coverage of the sport is the future. Instead of trying to be the next guy with the most title defenses. Regardless however someone chooses to be a champion and retire is up to them. It should also be respected by the fight community. Fight.TV wants to know, what do you think?

  • Kris Moutinho Cancels Upcoming Fight Due to Injury

Kris Moutinho, the fighter who shot to fame after a tough loss to Sean O'Malley where he took a barrage of punches and kept putting up a fight. Has had to call out of his upcoming bout with Aaron Phillips on October 23rd. The reason for canceling is due to a injury, likely sustained in training. His loss was also due to a referee having to call the fight. So his camp may have concerns over head injury already. Fight fans should respect Moutinho's decision and consider that just like his prior fight being called by TKO against his will, he may be getting pulled from this fight against his will. Fight.TV has faith that Kris will return to combat sports at the right time and have a long healthy explosive career. With this fight being called off the question now is - who will Aaron Phillips fight? Will Kris get a reschedule against Aaron and if not, who should Kris fight next?
