Controversial cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk continues to try to become the undisputed heavyweight champion. Joshua was expected to wait a long time with WBC champion Tyson Fury to determine his undisputed champion. Instead of waiting to see the result, Joshua decided to step into the ring with a dangerous opponent in the form of WBO No. 1 contender. Undefeated Usyk (18-0, 13 KOs) is a highly decorated champion who won the Olympic gold medal in 2012, became a supporter a year later and became the fourth male boxer in history to win WBA, WBC, WBO and Named IBF titles. He is currently listed on the Pound for pound top list. After becoming the undisputed cruiserweight champion in 2018, Usyk jumped the heavyweight division and won against Chase Weatherspun and Derek Chesora. Joshua (24-1, 22 KOs) will have to gain significant altitude, reach and power over Usyk.
