Sijara Eubanks has lost another fight even before entering the octagon. She was unable to match the limits on the scale. Tomorrow night's UFC Fight Night: Strickland vs. Imavov event is scheduled to start, but spectators have received another last unfortunate news: Sijara Eubanks' contest with Priscila Cachoeira has been canceled. Throughout the run to the event, a few contests scheduled to start tomorrow night have been canceled, and prominent athletes won't be participating on Saturday. Tragically for her rival, it might be too difficult for the South American to find a substitute. Sijara Eubanks didn't show up as contestants were making their way toward the scale to weigh in for their upcoming bouts, and her fight with Priscila Cachoeira was subsequently called off. In terms of the discussions for a future boxing contest with Jake Paul, Mike Perry reports that not much has progressed, but he is still optimistic that the contest will take place. Perry stated on social media a few weeks ago that he had reached an agreement to compete against Paul in the boxing ring. He even posted a screenshot of what he claimed to be the contract. Since that day, Paul has acknowledged Perry as a possibility and hinted that whereas Tommy Fury hasn't agreed to take on him, it would be his "lucky day." Perry did not disclose all the specifics of his agreement, but the fight will begin swiftly if the agreement Perry reached and inked is fulfilled. “I believe it was for mid-February,” Perry told MMA Fighting. “I don’t know what I can and can’t say, [because] I want it to happen, but there was supposed to be a really cool location and that intrigued me. “I think it happens. If it is mid-February, I’ll be ready. I’m ready this weekend. I’m going to keep working, road work, lift some weights, eat healthy, just keep feeding myself and stay hungry. That’s me. That’s what I do.” Even though Perry had publicly agreed to fight Jake Paul after he claimed back in December 2022, it's sad to say, it has become somewhat of an Influencer boxing tradition to cherry-pick the best fighter who pledges after spamming out offers. Just like KSI did with former UFC champion Tyron Woodley, and there might be a possibility Jake Paul might do the same with Platinum. “People are still in the comments think I faked the contract,” Perry told MMA Fighting. “What? Did I type that up? You think I typed that up? Come on, man, I can’t type that up. It’s ridiculous. People will see it with their own eyes and still be in disbelief. It’s not like it matters. “Jake’s got five pro boxing fights, if you could call them all pro boxing fights,” Perry continued. “He’s gotten a lot better since he’s been competing, he’s training all the time. I sparred him once, and I think it would be a great boxing match. I can’t lie, I’m a bare knuckle boxer, and I like to punch without anything. But with the gloves on I feel like I hit harder, and I think it would be interesting to see what I could do.” Following his 15-fight tenure with the UFC came to a close, Perry got a contract with BKFC, where he won two fights in 2022 against Michael Page of Bellator and Julian Lane of the UFC. But to his disappointment, none of the mentioned names is willing to go head to head with him inside the tied ropes. Stevenson is still waiting for his debut at 135, with his promoters taking keen interest to get him going in the new division straight away. The 25-year-old Southpaw discussed the prospect of facing the unified champ, Haney, in future, with Barak Bess and Akin Reyes on “The DAZN Boxing Show”. “I called Devin out,” Stevenson said. “The thing is, Devin, got a situation with Lomachenko, where they going for that route.” “But If the fight happens[with Haney], I will definitely be down for it.” Stevenson is expected to open his account in April this year against the Japanese Shuichiro Yoshino but nothing has been finalized yet. Stevenson has been calling out all the big bulls in the division but hasn’t succeeded in convincing any of them.

The UFC Interim Flyweight Champion Brandon Moreno has parted ways with James Krause and got Sayif Saud in his corner ahead of his title fight with Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 283. Moreno got hitched to James Krause for the interim title fight against Kai Kara-France at UFC 277 last year. Krause led Moreno to a comfortable victory over the Kiwi fighter, earning him another chance to fight for the flyweight title. But a fresh gambling scandal involving Krause has led Moreno to look for a new training team. Earlier, it was notified that all the fighters who are linked with Krause are prohibited from participating in the UFC cage. With the emergence of the news, Moreno had to shift his fight camp away from Kansas City where Krause and his gym are located. Fortunately, the Mexican prodigy has found a familiar face with whom he has worked before, Sayif Saud. YouTube sensation KSI will make his comeback to the ring tomorrow as he leads the Misfists x DAZN 004 card and takes on the 6 foot 4 southpaw Faze Temper. In this face-off, hosted by commentator Wade on his YouTube channel "The W.A.D.E Concept," KSI, who will be competing for the sixth time, wasted no time in proclaiming his wish to meet Jake Paul. The statement made by KSI to Faze Temper, "My end goal is Jake Paul, so I just need to show everyone I'm on a different level and I'm going to have to use you as one of the examples." Faze Temper will be entering the ring with a record of 2-1 (1KO), looking to put on a show and get the upset win. It is fair to say, this most recent defeat to Anthony Joshua is the one that would have stung the most, missing out on the opportunity to become a 3-time world champion and avenging his loss to Oleksandr Usyk. His eccentric post-fight behaviour, which has received harsh criticism from the boxing public, would have just served to amplify the sting. A lot of people are turning their backs on the former champion, who enjoyed a steam train of success on his rise in boxing, producing highlight reel knockouts and winning all but one of the belts on his road to undisputed, all seemingly a distant memory for many at this point. This is the Brit's third defeat in his last five fights, and his stock is now heavily in the mud in most people’s eyes. What comes next is the main question surrounding the name Anthony Joshua. Something we were all wondering until he was handed a surprise lifeline from a surprising figure. Tyson Fury. Everything appeared to be in place for a massive British clash between two of the biggest and most renowned boxing stars applying their trade today, for the WBC championship. When this battle was announced to be in the works for December of this year, many fans were licking their lips in anticipation—especially when AJ agreed to all stipulations handed to him by Fury initially. So what went wrong? Negotiations went sour in traditional boxing fashion, so for the time being this fantasy battle remains just that—a fantasy fight. Another classic ‘what could have been?’ to add to an already overflowing pile of fights never made. To the dismay of the boxing community, Fury had given Joshua an ultimatum: sign the deal by Monday, or the fight is off, with Hearn has chimed in, stating that there is "no chance" that the contract would be signed by the deadline. And that was all she wrote. In classic boxing form, the deadline was missed and Fury has reportedly moved on with his focus now being on Charr, so with the fight with Tyson Fury not looking like it will be next, what are Anthony Joshua’s options? In a recent interview, Eddie Hearn claimed he had already proposed to Deontay Wilder's camp that the two fighters square off after Wilder's scheduled bout with Robert Helenius, most likely in 2023. "I see the Dillian Whyte fight as a must-make fight for Anthony Joshua for the British public, I see Deontay Wilder as a must-make fight, and I also see him fighting Tyson Fury because it's a monumental one for British fight fans, but we'll see how that plays out." So could AJ's next match be against Dillian Whyte? Hearn is undoubtedly certain that it will happen, and it makes perfect sense. Whyte will likely come up most often when you ask people who they would like to see AJ fight next, other than Fury, a fight unlikely to be happening anytime soon. If this fight happened next, anticipate fireworks before and throughout the fight, with a victory putting AJ well and truly back on the right track. Both men’s careers would be on the line given their recent form in the sport, so the hunger for the win would create for an interesting contest. Whyte recently tried his hand at the WBC, and will certainly have the hunger to get right back in there for another crack at it. Another possibility is for AJ to go up against Joe Joyce, the first person to knock out the tough and rugged Joe Parker, in a fight in which Fury is backing the opposing fighter to do an number on him. This all-British matchup would undoubtedly captivate the public, but is Joshua willing to take the risk? Given AJ's recent run of success in the boxing world, Joyce is obviously a difficult fight to accept, and a loss would be practically catastrophic to his career at this point and Joe Joyce is no easy fight, by no means. Joyce appears to have a chin made of concrete; he will gladly take punches from any boxer on the earth and dismiss them, making them look like nothing. To defeat this resilient and strong opponent, AJ would need to be at the top of his game; by doing so, he would undoubtedly regain lost respect in the boxing world. If this fight was made, it would be dangerous for the two-time world champion, but with great risk, comes great reward. The boxing community has wanted to see AJ fight Wilder for the past six years, ever since these two became world champions, this has been the fight the people have wanted to see most. With both fighters coming off two-bout losing streaks and being title-less, this clash may be just what the sport of boxing needs right now. The world would be watching and backing the winner to go on to challenge for a world title afterwards. Just the names alone of these two fighters make this one of the biggest fights that could possibly be made in the sport right now, especially with both in very similar positions right now. Undoubtedly a risky fight for AJ, but if he wants to compete at the highest level once again, he must take fights like this. My shout: In my opinion, AJ's comeback will be more difficult than Fury's initial comeback all those years ago; he can't use easy fights as warm-ups; he must return to the ring immediately and do so impressively. There is a lot more pressure on his name right now, something he must be prepared for, and he must handle it perfectly. There are a few fighters I can picture representing his current needs, with full respect to his current position in boxing; Deontay Wilder or even Tyson Fury won't be on my list. These bigger battles should wait until 2023, it isn't in AJ's best interest to make them now. He would acquire a lot of respect by doing so, but doing so would require him to take too big of a risk. My top choice would be an all-British match against Dillian Whyte to settle a score in a goliath show, perfect for a Wembley Stadium showdown. There is a history there; each man has defeated the other once, and both have expressed a desire for a rematch. Additionally, both of them are coming off losses, which puts everything on the line for a fierce clash. A win for either fighter sets up a lot of opportunities, it’s almost a given that this fight should be made. Daniel Dubois, another intriguing bout. Since losing to Joyce, Triple D has been making his own return, and he is a well-known figure in the sport and in his homeland. There are better bouts for AJ to take, and I don't think Dubois would consider taking this one at this point in his career, but I do think it would be a step in the right direction and a good name to add to his record. It's probably too early for Dubois, but sooner or later, I’m sure this fight will be made. Otto Wallin, to finish. Since he lost his unbeaten record to Tyson Fury, a fight he easily might have won with the intervention of the doctor or referee due to Fury's cuts, the Swede's name has gained a lot of notoriety. Wallin has since defeated Brezeale and Fury is still Wallin's one and only defeat. Not the most enticing fight to be made, but a victory over a reputable opponent would undoubtedly be the catalyst for a comeback. At this stage of his professional career, there are unquestionably worse fights to be had. Honourable mentions: Micheal Hunter, Martin Bakole, Filipe Hrgovic & Murat Gassiev.

According to DAZN CEO Shay Segev, the main reason is because of the company's $1.9 billion promise to purchase Italian and German soccer rights for the Bundesliga and Serie A. According to Bloomberg, the data they published was based on accounts that DAZN had provided to the media business. A total operating loss of $1.36 billion and a finance loss of $934.7 million were also incurred by the London-based corporation in 2021. According to DAZN, revenue climbed $2.3 billion in 2022 from $1.56 billion in revenue in 2021. One of the leading players in boxing, DAZN is backed by billionaire Len Blavatnik and offers the sport a platform to promote its live events. Boxing is the sport that dominates DAZN's main offering in the US. Golden Boy and Matchroom, two boxing promoters, have exclusive contracts with the streaming platform. In May 2018, Matchroom and DAZN agreed to an eight-year, $1 billion contract. Canelo Alvarez inked a 10-fight, $350 million deal with DAZN in October 2018, but after three fights, in 2020, Alvarez was freed from both his Golden Boy and DAZN contracts, making him a free agent. Head coach of the American Kickboxing Academy Javier Mendez announced that he and Cain Velasquez will launch a podcast. During his time with the UFC, Mendez coached Velasquez, a former heavyweight champion. After spending eight months in jail on charges related to the attempted murder of an alleged child molester, Velasquez was recently freed on bail. In a recent interview with Submission Radio, Mendez shared interesting information regarding his forthcoming partnership with Velasquez. “I’m starting a podcast with Cain Velasquez,” Mendez said. “Wrestling, MMA, a discussion podcast. We don’t have the name yet, but we’re doing that soon.” “I’m just throwing it out there because of marketing…I’m hoping it starts real soon because we just need a lawyer to take care of a few things with the name, and then we’re gonna start it.” Velasquez is expected to refrain from talking about his trial and other specifics of his time in prison. He and Mendez, it appears, will concentrate on discussing MMA newsbits and hot subjects in professional wrestling. Velasquez is not the first UFC fighter, past or present, to launch a podcast. However, his pending trial and his UFC accomplishments could result in a successful podcast with Mendez. Velasquez will be back in court on March 8th for his attempted murder trial.

Naoya Inoue, an undefeated Japanese boxer, revealed his decision to vacate all four bantamweight championships and move up to the super bantamweight division on Friday. Inoue stated at a press conference in Yokohama that his toughest task would be to become the world's first boxer to sweep the WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBF belts in two weight classes. "The real battle starts from here," Inoue said. "I'm very excited." Last month, the 29-year-old, dubbed "Monster," completed a four-fight sweep of the bantamweight division with an 11th-round knockout of Britain's Paul Butler, who entered as the World Boxing Organization's bantamweight champion. "I'm confident that I can take on top-level super bantam boxers, even at present," Inoue said. "But it will take a while to make myself really unbeatable." Inoue has won titles in three separate weight classes, having previously competed in the light flyweight and super flyweight divisions. In June 2022, he became the first Japanese fighter to top the pound-for-pound rankings released by the respected Ring magazine, and he now has a 24-0 record with 21 knockouts. British boxer Rocky Fielding, announced his decision to retire at the age of 35. Since turning professional in 2009, Fielding has had a great and decorated boxing career, taking home numerous regional and national titles and in 2018, he was the WBA (Regular) super-middleweight champion. He held the British super-middleweight title in 2017 as well as the Commonwealth super-middleweight title twice between 2013 and 2017. Introduction to Rocky Fielding Rocky Fielding was born on August 24, 1984, in Liverpool, England. He started boxing at the age of 13 and quickly developed a reputation as a talented and hard-working boxer. He trained at his local gym, the Liverpool Boxing Club, and eventually moved to the famous Repton Boxing Club in London. Fielding had and enjoyed a successful amateur career and won the ABA Senior Elite middleweight title in 2008. He then turned professional in 2009 and signed with the Matchroom Boxing promotion. Rocky Fielding's boxing career highlights In his professional career, Fielding won the English super middleweight title in 2013 and the British super middleweight title in 2015. He also fought for the Commonwealth super middleweight title in 2017 and was the WBA Interim super middleweight champion in 2018. Fielding also fought in several prestigious international tournaments, such as the World Boxing Super Series, and competed against some of the world's top boxers, including Gennady Golovkin, Callum Smith, and Saul Alvarez. Fielding was also known for his exciting and entertaining fights. He had a tendency to come forward and press the action, which made for some thrilling fights. He was also known for never backing down from a challenge and always giving his all in the ring. The UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier has his say on the recent Dana White altercation with his Wife Anne and believes the support the UFC president is receiving, in this case, is totally unjustified. White and his wife Anne were enjoying their holiday at a nightclub in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico when the two had a heated exchange of words which led to the scene which was captured by the camera. His wife slapped him to which the premier responded with the same. But his actions have not gone well with the MMA society, with many of them calling for him to relinquish his post in the UFC. In the meantime, White is also backed by the section that believes White shouldn’t bear all of the responsibility for his altercation with his wife. The former two-division champ, Daniel Cormier has taken that part of society under his sword of words and issued a strong warning while condemning their antics. He displayed his annoyance in the recent episode of ESPN MMA’s DC & RC show, quoting that there should be no space for such deeds and that the accused should rightly be censured. “In these instances, the one thing you think about first is the family… how they will get through this. But Dana’s making no excuses for his actions. Some fighters are trying to defend him, (but) he doesn’t defend himself. Why should anyone defend his actions when he’s saying, ‘I was wrong.’ … There’s no debate Ryan. It’s not like we can sit up there and pretend it’s in debate whether or not it was right or it was wrong. There’s no debate.” UFC light heavyweight contender Jamal Hill came out in support of White but apparently, the MMA fraternity isn’t liking his sympathies towards his boss.

According to UFC bantamweight contender Umar Nurmagomedov, Khabib Nurmagomedov won't be away from mixed martial arts for very long. Khabib is reportedly leaving MMA to focus on his personal life. He has taught many fighters since his retirement from the sport in 2020, including Islam Makhachev and his cousin Umar. Just a few weeks remain till Makhachev defends his title against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 284. While it's unclear if Khabib will be present as a spectator, Javier Mendez claims that Khabib won't be in Makhachev's corner. Umar will not have Khabib in his corner when he fights Raoni Barcelos this weekend at UFC Vegas 67. He recently surged in the bantamweight ranks and might challenge for the championship. Umar questioned whether Khabib's coaching sabbatical would be permanent. “This guy my brother and with me. He cannot go away,” Umar said. “I was calling him, talking to him about this fight, about cutting weight. “ “When I go home, I’ll be training with him. I will go to his home and say to him, ‘Hey, let’s go to training.’ But even this guy is all the time training. He cannot stop.” As Eagle FC continues to host events in 2023, Khabib will continue to have a major role in the organisation.
